News flash! First teased at Auto Assembly 2014, and now released to WikiAlpha.org and Retro Robot Radio comes your first glimpse of the Keith's Fantasy Club 'Con jet/tank combiner cassettes. KFC has a new recipe for action with recolors of their Airdancer cassette combiner as some of your favorite 'con leaders and jet troops. The jets are Metal Screech, Thunder Bolt and Warped Side. They are come seeking destruction of any 'bot in their gun sights... The tanks are Dark Metal, Mega Deff and Mega Max and they rumble along towards the conquest of their cyber world... ... but more than just simple cassettes who turn into awesome weapons of war, the jets and tanks can combine into a robot in disguise! You can form the diabolical Deff Metal, the masterful Mega Bolt or the devious Darque Side! Or make up your own deadly combinations! The 'bots don't stand a chance with these combining 'con warriors on the move!
I'd say if the tanks were the colors of Decepticon tanks they are G2 Megatron, Megaplex and The Fallen.
Hmm... I was thinking about getting the all-black set for my MP Soundwave arsenal, but the Darque Side set has a lot more color while keeping the same general theme. So what are the release plans for these? Different conventions? Different stores?
I'm told he's considering two three packs of jets and tanks, because he thinks people will want 3 packs of Seekers.
The exclusive black set I have is in perfect condition so these have my interest. Will be watching these closely.
Yeah, I was told some people had trouble with the red and blue version but the black one was pretty sturdy, so they fixed any problems already.
Some how this works and I like all the colors. Never saw this coming, but I'm fine with these re-colors. If we can get all six for under $80., that will work. Looking at the first gray jet ( Starscream colors) would be nice to see some red paint .
Hey's the jet cassette is now a Seeker mold. We can justify repaints of it in 20 different ways from that!
That will also make mixing and matching the combos easier. When they announce the prices I may have to find some people who want to split the packs up.
There was already a custom class Flywheels from this a while back. I had told Keith he should do cassette Overlord still, but this is a lot of recolors already.
What do you guys think of a mini Megatron cassette that will fit MP Soundwave/ G1 and pop out and transform it to a mini gun for Soundwave or Starscream to hold ? I started on this last night, but if we could get Keith to do it, I think it would sell out easy. It would have the stalk , site ,and Silencer all transform into tape mode. Yes we have a mini Megatron gun that comes with MP Soundwave , but I just love this idea.
I'll pass. While I like the idea of eventually getting a Duocon from this, I'll wait for another 3rd party with better QC and customer service.
Sorry, but this is misinformation. The black one is abysmal, shameful, terrible quality. If this was "fixed", I can't imagine how bad the red and blue versions are. Imagine the WORST ko quality you've ever held, and know that this toy is similar. I'm surprised that reputable toy stores sell this.
I own the black one, and it's flawless. Sorry you got a bad one Lee. I don't know how common problems are with the toy, but yours is the first I heard of complains about the black set.
Honestly... that's a neat idea... if crazy to attempt. I mean... it's an MP-scaled Cassetticon... that has a tertiary Walthers that would scale for Soundwave? Quite a feat. I'm sure folks would dig the idea... and you could also do similar for Shockwave. (How meta would it be for MP Megatron and FT's Quakewave to wield weapons that are well... themselves???)
Weird, some people just don't seem to be paying attention. These guys were featured on the latest episode of Radio Free Cybertron and none of the hosts knew what character they were. They didn't get that they were colored like Starscream, Skywarp and Thudercracker, or Megatrons/Megaplex/Fallen. They thought they were all original characters. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A0yjYRHwU2g
