Ooph. I hope you can get to fixes for yours. I'm still waiting on a response from TCP who is waiting on a response from Zeta.

 

I already reported this issues to my seller -Hobby Korner.
We are on the same boat..waiting for updates from Zeta for the fixed parts.

Hoping they will honor and provide fix to all the issues i reported.. i will be very pissed if they will mention Human error .. all of the broken parts and defects i reported are observed straight from the box or during 1st transformation.

It is good to know that some people here have already received their parts from Zeta.

 

Stupid question - Is it possible to cancel an already paid order from TCP? It's still in my stash and have cold feet now on this set.

 

The Zeta sets have become a running joke at this point. QC seems to be non-existent.

 

Call and ask but I don’t think they would give you much grief over it with the known issues. I rolled the dice and got a good one but it’s obviously a gamble.

 

I got mine from TCP and won the good set lottery..you may be ok..but I feel your worry

 

While waiting for the parts from Zeta,
I tried to fix Silverbolts broken wing and Flyfire cracked hinges using Tamiya cement

a. Silverbolt Broken wing- i managed to removed the screw from the plastic part then used tamiya cement to attached it. Waiting for 2 days for it to fully cure and bond well.

b. Flyfire cracked hinges- using Tamiya ultra thin cement , i gently put small amounts in the cracked area hoping the capillary action will help it to sip down inside the cracks and make a good bond. To avoid the plasctic hinges sticking to other adjacent plastic, i put separator like tape or paper between them..

so has anyone ventured into making the connection on the wings for the backpack a little more secure? figured if it is too floppy when i get mine by the end of the week I might try making the "hooks" a little longer and the slots a little deeper. just have to see how much I can get away with on the hooks without them interfering with transformation.

 

Hopefully it won’t be enough of an issue to need to to make the modification. I have the standard Silverbolt and those parts hold decently well on mine. Every once in a while I bump that part when I’m not paying attention but it doesn’t happen enough to even qualify as an annoyance.

 

true, I'm just going off of the reviews I've watched and that seemed to be the only frustration part. with it being a later run (I'm assuming, since Robotkingdom had him while everyone else didn't have him in stock) I'm hoping that bit is a little better.

 

Good to read people are ALSO having problems.
I myself had the following with the Superitron giftset and brought up a lot of it on my review, but full list first:

- Silverbolts wings sheared off, just taking it out of the box, the 3rd time
- Combiner torso hip skirts were assembled wrong and the pegs were a weird blend of sheared off, still stuck in there and broken off
- Knee pads on Skydive's kneepads flop around and don't peg in, plus on one the translucent plastic part just popped out
- Eletronics on BOTH heads don't play one sample anymore, only stutter
- They didn´t break the edge/ deburr the edge on the diecast chest piece, so when you rotate the waist, it cuts into the plastic left and right
- Air Raid just flops down, in combined mode, so the ratchet can barely hold the pose with gun and while posing the upper body, it just flops down, due to the ab crunch.

Zeta are good on customer connection, at least in combination with the seller. I don't know how they are on their own.

But I believe better than Storm Collectibles.^^

 

Try applying a tiny coat of super glue in the hook.. it helps.
I also did this in the tabs of the floppy knee pads of Sky strike and Skydive..it is now staying in place

 

If anyone in Canada is looking for Superitron, hard to get one shipped here these days. I have one to sell, no issues, complete, have the box, etc.

 

it wasn't nearly as floppy as the reviews made it out to be. I would like a bit more of a secured connection but it does what it is supposed to do, had more of an issue getting bashed by the complete assembly while i was trying to transform the rest of it, especially the first time of it.

on a totally different note, my cat doesn't like the combined mode, lol. he freaks out and makes a wide arc around it then lays down behind the furniture and stares at it.

 

Mine are super floppy... So... Yeah, It CAN be as bad

I can see how it easily could be, if the "doors" are loose any then the connection is going to be compromised.

 

Oh I thought you were responding to @Davme1345 talking about knee pads. That's what I was talking about. I should not post while distracted with work
