I can't see them changing the scale and making him both smaller and more expensive than Superion and Bruticus. To me it looks like they are trying to make Razorclaw's waist a bit bigger so that it doesn't look too narrow for Predaking and not too out of proportion for Razorclaw. I don't know if that will be enough to make Predaking able to do a proper neutral stance, though, especially considering that both Tantrum and Headstrong have their arms not folded into their body in leg mode so they should be wider than Superion's legs.

Yeah I’m extremely confused. What I want is zeta to discuss and explain everything going on with this figure. To clear out some things just so this makes any sense at all.

This Predaking on the other hand looks very promising.

 

Can they change the strength of their joints too? Something strong enough to hold a near 20" figure is going to be ridiculously tight for the legs of a 9" figure. Unless they either don't use strong enough joints like the combiners of yesteryear or this guy isn't as tall as their latest and greatest.

Either way it's a shit show that's got the potential to end them, especially as ppl are getting tired of their shenanigans and lack of communication.

See I don’t think you do. Because you don’t understand why their process works and how this improves it. From what I’ve read elsewhere you don’t like it but that doesn’t mean it’s fundamentally flawed. It’s just that you don’t like it. And just because it’s changing to your preferences doesn’t mean it’s gonna be better.

 

Yes you are right, It's a gamble, I have always thought about the combiner joints being stored elsewhere but the hips, in this case the Razorclaw's lower legs. I have some CAD designs, but I couldn't get back to them recently... Maybe some day...

The fun thing to me is to explore new ways to make the combiners to work. Partsforming or not, either way has to be elegant to me.

I hope Zeta could develop a stable combiner that doesn't make use of pants or fake torsos, but I also want the option to exist for the people who like pantsformers.

 

It's not flawed, it's simple and efficient, I won't deny that!, but I know they want to change how they do business, and fortunately in a way that catch my attention, I sincerely feel sorry for the ones who still want pants, but for me it's great!

FT are using fake torsos too, so there are options for everyone!

Sometimes I go to their weibo site... I know some of their chinese fans don't want them to change, maybe that is the reason behind the "two" Zeta's brands, just to make everyone happy.

Yeah, based off the line art and some of the aforementioned logical assumptions...i really don't see this being in scale with their existing combiners. Which is a shame if it turns out to be true.
