Well, I'm in regardless but let's hope they're not taking pages from Toyworlds book and these so called improvements are actually improvements and not just different things with the same bad engineering.

The Chosen Prime shipped my Metallic Bruticon this afternoon.

Got mine set up today. I must say that attaching the rotors is a royal pain in the ass, I can see why so many people skip them. Way too difficult for something that should be simple! It might have taken me an hour to get the rotors on right, and another hour to combine them into Bruticus. I’ll have to work on the posing tomorrow as my power went out.

You may have done this on purpose, but you have the guns attached to the wrong ports on Bruticus’ back. They are supposed to be in the wider positions.

Edit: also your Whirlblade seem to need tweaks on the transformation too. The panels above his shoulder aren’t in the right positions. It should clean up better.

I will look at whirlblade. I used T-Man's video; he may have done something wrong in it, or I may have missed something.

As far as the guns on the back, I prefer them in the narrow position

Yeah, that's mistransformed though. Or rather, still fully in alt mode.

It does seem to look better though.

May play around with some alternative transformations and see if they look better.

Here’s an official Zeta shot with what I was trying to say was mis-transformed.

How do you incorporate these pieces into Bruticus?

The black stuff is for the bottom of the feet.

Are there specific ways to apply them? It didn't seem like there were cutouts on the feet that matched them.

I thought the pieces were cut to fit the square and rectangular impressions in the feet, at least that's what they did for Superion.

I haven’t applied them, but I believe this is true.

That's awesome, I hope it's at a good price like their Superion. I've been tempted by their Superion but passed on it so far because I've already started on the Fanstoys set, but I've finally decided to get their Bruticus the next chance I get. The individual robots aren't the most ideal, but they are passable enough for what is ultimately the least important mode and this will probably be our only option for a proper MP scale Bruticus for the forseeable future (since Fanstoys is stalling with its combiners and XTB is at the start of the protectobots set).

Though it's gonna hurt when I finally have Bruticus, Defensor, Superion, Menasor, and Omega Supreme, but no Devastator because apparantly they are all falling apart. And then to rub salt in the wound we'll probably get an announcement for a Takara Devastator at some point but it'll inevitably be too small. *sigh*

I haven't considered any of Fanstoys combiner bots (yet/maybe) but I'm curious about their weight. Are their aerial bots or stunticons heavy for the size like typical FT builds? If they are then I would be concerned for stability. I can't wait for this reissue, Bruticus looks great and I agree, individual bots are pretty good not great but I'm ok with it for them. I hope it wont be any higher in price than Superion at $419 from ShowZ. I would have liked the $379 i originally paid but the shipping problems changed that.

I won't be holding my breath for any combiners from Takara or anything for that matter, just take things as they come with them. I agree on the size too, too small is what they would do

FT's combiners are gonna be SOOO heavy. Like there's never been a combiner of this weight before. I have the Aerialbots and Stunticons but I'm still hesitant about whether I'll combine them. I'm gonna need to see someone else try it first. If one tipped over it'd probably shatter a detolf or something.

I'm sure they'll look fantastic, I just need to know they can stand.

I wonder if it's possible to hide the rotor like they did. Taking a quick look at mine it seems possible to split that leg section, bend the rotor back toward the main blades, and then close it back up with the tail rotor resting on the side of the arm. I think I'm going to try it out when I have some time.
