Only thing missing for me is that chest plate... nd his itty bitty gun!

 

Doesn't appear to be any hidden extras but as I didn't get the original it's hard to know. I fixed the issue with brawls chest by loosening a few screws. They were done up real tight and I could see plastic bending when I tried to move it initially.

The only issue with mine is blast off is missing one of the transparent plastic pieces on his legs. So his knees/shins look different on each leg.

Chest plate wise it's the original chest plate with some additional paint to give it the illusion of the toon Bruticus. Stuns me they haven't released an alternative chest plate.

One thing I haven't managed yet is how to attach his gun to blast off on his shoulder like in the reveal pic of the toon coloured version. Anyone managed to do this successfully?

Oh and when I get home I'll post some pics of him. Got building work going on atm and the place is chaos!

I got both Bruticus and Constructor in box sets and its hard work learning 5/6 transformations in short order. I must have spent about 4 hours last night just going through it with Bobby skullfaces videos.

 

How's the knee connection for swindle in combined mode? Does it still have the tendency to come off if you try to do some leg poses for bruticus?

 

The spring loaded section feels much tighter than Constructor or Superion. Felt quite difficult getting it in. So I'm thinking they may have just tightened that up a bit to get around that issue. Having said that, the Brawl leg felt even tighter again so who knows. It's hard to know for sure as I didn't have the original to compare it with.

 

I have the original and every time I try to bend his knee, swindle comes off.  

 

Heh I haven't messed with him to much pose wise. I'm one of those guys who gets one pose, put on display.

Initially I wasn't even sure that the connection was spring loaded so he's very tight on this one. It's a shame they didn't release the toon pants and chest separately for those who purchased the original. Feels lately like buying the v1 release from 3p companies is a mistake.

 

It is chicken and egg.

If it sells well enough, the company can offer v2. If it doesn't sell well, no v2 at all.

Which one do you prefer?

 

Any chance we see them sell an accessory pack of just the legs/torso, feet and head from the Bruticon set? I really like the new colors but space is limited as far as combiners go.

 

Well if it's tight then I guess they've improved the knee connection somehow.

I like v2 toon colors but I'm fine with my v1.

 

Think I'll be fine sticking with my company's version.  

 

Question to anyone who's got both sets... is blast off a darker brown in the new version?

 

It's these pictures that make me think the toon version is much darker. I say this because it will mean the current replica chest plate alternatives will be too light.

 

Anyone interested in buying the original full set with the extra "toon" head? Please hit me up. I can do a good deal on it. Just don't have space for it and the MMC one.

 

Just paid my balancing invoice. Kapow said stock is due in the last week of July when they invoiced me, but their website shows the set as 'in stock' so with some luck I'll get it next week.

Just got my email notice yesterday evening from chosen prime that the Zeta Bruticon will be in stock in 3 days! So should be in hand within 7 shipping days. I cant wait!!!  

 

Kapow dispatching today with Express 24 delivery. I'll have Bruticon by tomorrow night it seems. Exciting times!

 

Looking forward to seeing all the other pics. And finding out if anyone has worked out how to attach the gun to the upper arm.
