Hey man, I can safely recommend that if you are going to transform him, do it BEFORE you put the spikes on.

    I just did. ;)

And for those of you that didn't, and you don't feel like watching a half-hour Youtube video for tips on turning an 18" Unicron into a ball, if there's just one thing in that video that I think everyone should know and take away from it it's this:

When you're turning a wing into (half) a ring there are two wing tips that are hinged. They bend down and meet with their counterparts on the other wings to form the supports that hold the ring up at the north and south poles. If you look at them out of the box you'll see a flat tab near the tip (we'll call it tip-tab), a flat tab a little more than halfway to the hinge (mid-tab), and a hook tab at the hinge itself. The video will tell you to cut off the mid-tabs; do it. They're not necessary and they make getting the hook tabs connected far more difficult. Without them you'll line up the tips in the polar holes. As you push them together the tip tabs will joint, you'll have the wiggle room to get the hook tabs to grab each other, and the hook tabs are tight enough that there won't be gap.

Try starting a search for it. Both times I have started a search for my package (including unicron) it’s gotten an update the day after and been delivered.

This thing is a joy to mess with. Still haven't bothered transforming him, or putting on the extra bits. He's just too much fun to pose.

USPS. They have a search form that you do before going on to the lost form. It’s been helpful so far.

30 minute video or 3 hours of self-stabbing frustration... tough choice. :D

After handing Cell just to get his feet in the right position I'm very glad he wasn't larger.

Well, it’s at this point guaranteed to be more fun to transform at least. Also the sculpt work on it is pretty good to, more planet like.

I think I must have the wrong Unicron, as I found the instruction booklet clear and the transformation fun! It took about 45-60 minutes for the first bot-to-planet, then about 10 minutes back without using the booklet. There was one slightly awkward bit, but it just needed slightly firmer pushing to get two clips in.

100% this bud. After seeing him I can’t even imagine the nightmare 20lb Haslabicron will be size wise. For me he would likely be a $600 statue of Unicron as it’s just too massive to play with. As no one in my collection is larger than leader-class, Zeta still towers over everyone and is suitably imposing while remaining an action figure.
I did almost feel bad about the price tag but then saw yesterday that Target is dropping a $400 Millennium Falcon. Suddenly Zetacron doesn’t seem so bad. :D

Everyone, I would like to introduce you to my new god

first impressions, this figure is so solid. The plastic they used is definitely a higher quality than hasbro has been using. (Not a dig against hasbro but a frame of reference)

Taking it out of the box I immediately knew this was going to be a prized piece in my collection.

everyone is right, the instructions are trash. I hate to pay myself on the back, but I’m a machinist and study blueprints all day. I’ve always been good at the visualization so I did it with the instructions, but had to go backwards a couple times to do something the instructions skip over.

I found it very satisfying and enjoyable. I’ve never dealt with a figure that transforms into a shell former. By this I mean it’s technically a shell former, but you have to rotate, bend, flip, move, adjust, and take apart nearly everything to get the shell out. I am blown away at how neatly it all folds away and folds out.

Also the Easter Eggs! I was aware of the stuff in his chest but I had no idea they molded the grabbers

I’m so impressed with this and happy I went for it!

I still walk by this figure every day and I smile a bit. Best purchase of the year for me.
