Thos currently still seems to be on scheduale. It seems zeta has gone dark on it for now? The reason seems to be unidentified, but some believe hasbro at fault with the haslab. Nonetheless, no pre mod samples as far as I know, and nothing has been said about the release date changing

Short answer: Zeta has never said it was cancelled but they said something that might sort of imply it might be delayed. It's difficult to say because the engrish was strong in his statement.

I don't expect to hear anything at all until the 30 day cancellation period for HasLab has passed. At the very earliest then, we're talking 6th November, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a further period of breathing space after that.

It's a bit rough for Zeta, because Takara are also about to push a Raiden project so the only big thing they can really crack on with is their Predaking. Not that I'm complaining about that as I want to see it and probably buy it! Still, it's shitty for them nonetheless

 

I really hope Zeta releases their Unicron because :

1. The Zeta design is better than Hasbro's (personal taste)
2. Much less expensive
3. Smaller too. (again, personal taste)

 

At this point I feel like zeta are being nervous recks wherever they are. Hasbro scolds em about unicron and now they shut up about every single project to avoid being scolded again....like are they staying silent because of the train combiner and takara’s project with that as well? Come on guys, show something that shows you still exist.

for all we know they could be going into production on these bots as we speak. who really knows at this point. the market has spoken and this bot will sell well or out based on a limited run. so they could just be radio silent as they get ready for a big push.

 

I really hope that this does come out, especially with all those bells and whistles they stated it had (LED eyes, hidden Easter eggs etc). I’m really in the market for something a lot smaller like this compared to the Hasbro one, as with a baby on the way £600+ UK side is ridiculous to me. Not even when I was single I would have dropped that much.

I had to scrape the £365 I paid for MP-44, but that’s also because to me he’s the definitive G1 Optimus.

 

This is my theory as well. Looks like the preorders are still a go and the various sellers on eBay still have listings up.

 

Yeah with the recent announcement that Takara is doing Raiden, it seems that Zeta doesn't want to rock the boat again and see if they're just reissuing the G1 or making a new figure before they say anything again. I'm still hopeful for their Raiden.
