Looks pretty nice so far. I'm with everyone though who is waiting to see whether this one or the other 3p one comes out on top.

For some reason I really like this look of the Beetle with an entirely transparent windscreen/cabin - it makes it look futuristic.

I'm assuming the clear parts are to make a sure the components go in the right places as the test and not the final plastics.

Either way I look forward to decent side by side shots of Zeta and TF Element in their final forms.

As for the toy itself, I feel it's proportions are a touch too lean, closer to Camaro Bee. A little hard to tell with black plastic on a black background.

This is something Hasbro could have easily pulled off yet they still just stuck to retools.
    Wow.

I like it, but the MPM is under $40 on Amazon. I can live with door wings for $40.

Why does that mean they don’t have confidence?

Looks like it could be a good figure... but man! Make the car mode better, then that makes the bot mode better

Hope Zeta doesn\'t have the same issue like they did with Unicron

Imma just say... this is awesome and all, but given all of the various versions of this movie based character that already exist... why??

This looks like it's pretty much the final plastic colours, that's just how unpainted prototypes look. For instance, here are unpainted prototypes of (I think) the Black Mamba KOs.
To do windows, the entire piece is done in transparent, and the non-window areas of it are painted over

MPM Barry has that much clear plastic (if not more) and it turned out fine. Unless Zeta has a history of flakey paint, then I wouldn't worry.

Yeah, I do have some opinions about it, but they're not based on anything so I'm gonna wait for a side-by-side

Wow! this looks great! I'm all in for both this and TE honestly (I mean how many duplicate Has-Tak Bee's have we all purchased?)
I really hated both the MPM and SS versions of Movie Bee. They are really fiddly and clunky and inaccurate which is ridiculous because they are also lazy shell-formers.

I think what he's saying is that the black background hides some detail, specifically stuff like thickness and silhouette.
    Also adds some drama.

A white background would be less exciting, but potentially be more honest about what the figure actually looks like (flaws and all).

Ok, yeah, it's not looking good enough for MPM. I was hoping they were trying to drink ToyWorld's milkshake and do Studio Series-size. Mostly because I hate Studio Series Bumblebee Bumblebee.

Not that I think this figure completely nails it, but i can see the need in the sense that nothing that's come before has been as accurate. So far every official and KO version of Travis Knight Bumblebee has been based on (I'm guessing) an old design where the front wheels and doors are splayed out to the side like wings in robot mode (in keeping with the Michael Bay era designs), whereas in the film they fold down on his back. The official MPM in particular should never have been allowed to be released as it was in my opinion. Having the entire front bonnet sitting unbroken on his back and the door wings was just a really poor effort, even though the rest of the bot was decent enough
