The arms AREN'T facing away. Look at the left arm. It's bend at the elbow, facing the "camera". The thumb is on top of the hand as well, even if the elbow could bend backwards, that would put the thumb on the bottom of the hand if the upper body was facing away. And if I'm wrong (which I absolutely could be), the back being identical to the front is a terrible design choice. Sure I wouldn't display it facing a wall, but it would still be completely stupid.

I will draw your attention to the parts on his legs. They seem pretty kibblely--mass wise perhaps as much as the Hasbro version, only they seem to have found a way to better compact the panels and fold them up into and against the legs. I wouldn't be surprised is the entire back portions of the legs weren't just piles of planetary paneling. I'd love to get a picture of him in actual lighting and not doing his best NIN cover-band imitation.

    Bingo!

True, Zeta did mention the transformation wont be too difficult for his massive size. Im very curious to see this since he will have diecast parts.

You raise an interesting point - we've only seen a front/back view, NOT a side one. How far back does that leg kibble hang?

I'm sure you're right about height and weight constraints. I suppose it's a trade off between size and what you're willing to sacrifice aesthetically. Frankly it doesn't look like Haslab tried to integrate the shell at all. While I could accept that for 2-300$ I just can't give it a pass at 600$.

    You guys are all wrong.
The panels are INSIDE of him.
    He's a planet eater after all :p

Even if it goes into the legs, yeah, I do wonder given it looks like ALL the planet shell goes there. You can only compact plastic so much.

Willing to be pleasantly surprised though, of course!

I won’t lie when I say zetas is impressive for the engineering, but it weirdly fails in making me feel “this is it, the definitive unicron” and I think that might just be the level of detail and sheer size haslabs has. Even with the kibble the esthetic works better with feeling massive, while this feels it could be any size, even the size of megatron.

I’ll most likely at some point get both, but here’s hoping it’s under 300 so I don’t wait till after haslabs to own em.

I'm only just now realizing this Unicron has three of those skeletal wings on one side, with two on the other. Not sure if that's been said already. Heavy animation error

I keep picturing the planet modes (of either) best being displayed hanging from the ceiling by a fishline(s).

I noticed that too. I wonder if thats the case or maybe one is front of the other. Now I gotta go check the wings in the toon.

*all the toon images Im seeing have three on each side
