Also, I can't help notice the missing rings in the pictures... dare I hope that they're making them bigger, which would fix my only main complaint with the design?

You're not alone. I've always been a fan of the smaller size. Unicron is never going to be in scale with other figures, so I'm glad we're getting a more reasonably sized (and priced!) alternative to Hasbro's giant $600 shellformer.

 

Ah yes Toy World which made Zeta which made now O1 and watch like 20+ other sub companies linking back to Hasbro is some diabolical ring of misleading 3rd party not 3rd party market lol.

 

That’s the rub. All the major 3rd party producers are subsidiaries of subsidiaries, which all eventually track back to Hasbro! It’s a conspiracy I tell you!

honestly i dont give a fudge either way.

but as far as i know all hasbro really did was get the youtube vid pulled. everything else stayed up globally and this project was never officially dead zeta just went silent. i dont think there was anyone who didnt see this coming from a mile away as it should. the hasbro bots are all bought and paid for. so this doesnt effect them one bit. let the fans have it if they want it. it is our money after all.

one could even go as far to say that they would never have hit the market in december anyways because china was all corona'd at by then basically. plus what 3rd party big bot didnt have a delay here and there.

 

If it's coming out this summer like the announcement says, that's only a year from reveal to release (this thread was created last July). I wouldn't call that a delay at all... that's faster than average for 3rd party figs!

 

Transparent red abs mean light up feature? I remember zeta saying there would be electronics.

I mean the planet coloring issue seems to fit better with Cell than Planet X.  
I still want the figure but the planet mode coloring still kinda sucks.

 

As someone who went in on the HasLab Unicron, pleased this one's not dead given the engineering looked rad as hell.
