I'm not much of a BSF fan either. As others have said - he's biased, and blatantly so. I don't know, nor do I care to know where that bias originates. He's also loud and overly opinionated in conjunction with that bias.

At the risk of sounding shill-like, my fave reviewer is @Kuma Style. He states his opinions and frames them as such, but I've always felt his findings to be fair and reasonable. He also handles his figures with care (i.e. ironically not like a bear). Hopefully he'll review this thing when it rolls around.

Alright everyone. Please get it back on topic. Discussions about reviewers and their videos don't belong in this thread. Thanks.

Exactly that's what this thread should be about appreciation for the zeta Unicron and things for it

And spreading hatred for the Hasbro Unicron because we are 3P extremist

Some have continued to take this off topic, please, keep it on topic and not about reviewers and such. I have removed a few comments after my initial post.

I think I’m finally on board. It just looks too good. The size isn’t ideal but I really love how it looks and articulates. I can arrange him so it’s like a space perspective or something.

To me all he needs to scale with Cybertron Primus planet mode. which I honestly feel he does.

I also feel the bad guys should always be larger than the good guys so they look and feel more menacing.

That being said, Cybertron Primus is perfectly scaled to this Unicron IMHO.

To me this also gives me hope that other 3P companies will also tackle the character someday.

He truly does look amazing in the transformation videos.

It'll be interesting to see how he turns out once finalized and in color.

I hope they go all out on the color details for the hidden movie scene gimmicks.

but if they don't, I truly hope ToyHax has our backs.

One of you guys that's more familiar with Zeta can answer this for me.
What is the quality of Zeta's plastic? Some of those parts, like the chest pieces, have those small "arms" that have a few articulated points to make the transformation work.
Also a lot of pieces fold one over the other. I've never purchased anything Zeta. I truthfully haven't purchased transformers in almost 20 years. But seeing Unicron has hooked me back in.

I'd say their plastic is okay. Feels like Gundam model kit plastic to me - sturdy enough with some flex but not as flexible as other plastics. If you're not careful, I could see corners being ground off when moving pieces past each other but I never had that happen so I can't say for sure.

    Nice. You bored?

Maybe you should get a few more recent figures before. I have a feeling this is gonna be a pretty tough transform and things have changed quite a bit in 20 years.

    Welcome back though.

Have to say I'm not a huge fan of panels on the end of long arms, it's like when a piece comes completely loose but can't actually escape due to bits stopping it. But hopefully they don't just feel like tethering ropes.

I think Zeta should offer an oversized version or a double the size version, with better wing presence and I would pay the $400- $550 for this piece and completely forget the Hasbro version. In fact Zeta should offer a poll on a larger size version and if enough interest, confirm it will be produce before the new crowdfund deadline.

I love what you do, hope I can give some honest feedback. I like the added detail... sans the strips on the legs. It reminds me a little of the occasional vehicle you see with just a little too much chrome.
And given their relative size (planetary) a long shiny strip kind of diminishes it a bit.
Go for broke on the small details, but realistic as far as what we could expect.

And thank you for making these, your time is so appreciated!

Yeah, that one has too much going on. Fun to see, as you say, but I think you nailed it on your last version.
