It'd be nice if they re-engineered her, I agree, even something as simple as a "shield" would be a welcome upgrade. But so far Zeta's Ex series has really just been repainted reissues, I'm actually surprised they even remoulded the face. Since Zeta doesn't seem interested in the idea... it'd be nice if someone released an upgrade kit. In fact a kit for both Rouge and Leia would be fantastic... if you're listening, gods of third party addon kits...
I agree with Mormolyce. Arcee is a hard character to do and I'm just thankful that we had these toys. I do hope someone can make add-ons too. I hope the MMC one will not face the problems of FT and Zeta
When comparing all 3 or 4 of Arcee's I wanna say this about them. MMC's looks decent regardless of future design release,its still too early to tell for sure. ToyWorld Leia may have thunder thighs and the obvious half car problems,but its not the POS some people think it is. ZetaToys Arc may still suffer from the same problem with TW Leia but the face looks a lot better. FansToys Rouge suffers from loose joints and such but she ain't no better or worse than the others. So in my honest opinion I say if you can afford it get one of each,that way you can have the best of both worlds and you don't have to sacrifice one for the other.
I actually like this new metallic paint job on Arc, and for $70 I may bite. I'm with others that the car mode rear end looks unfinished, but I rarely display most of my TF's in alt mode anyway. I do wish she came with a couple of different face plates so she could properly emote with all of the good hand options.
Don't forget about MMC's offering, which shows some promise. But at this point it's an uproven product and Zeta's effort is looking great for the price (alt mode aside). I imagine Takara may eventually come to a release as well, but given how infrequently they release new molds who knows how long that will take.
Hey Scott I didn't forget MMC's as it was the first one I mentioned but some things could be changed between now and the actual release.As for Takara I really wouldn't hold my breath,we have only got what (since MP09 or MP10) like 31 or 32 figures in close to 10 years so if they do actually make her it probably won't be for another 10 years.I just think Takara and Hasbro both are heading away from G1 Masterpieces for more Movie and Classic type figures,and are leaving it up to 3P Companies to fill the void.Later.

I have two FT Arcees and they’re in a whole other league compared to my TW version. They made the face better, but this this was still a huge pile if I’m being honest. It was “cheap” though so I don’t have any regrets purchasing it. Zeta should give us a new face that matches the old paint job though. I may even pay for one if I had to, if just to make her a little more redeemable.
MMC's offering looks good, but dayyum that's a skinny waist. Still too much of a question to commit to.

That's the studio Ox design, man. Several people have designed Arcee to have no back end. I can't help it if it is stupid; it is accurate. Hasbro has done it a few times themselves.
I'm finding it difficult to look at the old Leia paint job now I have Rouge. Thought I'd get used to the pale powder pink but seeing Rouge's vibrant pink... eh. Mass shifting thighs, the power so many women wish they had!
