Even getting replacement parts from Show.Z is almost impossible. My copy had upsidedown tail fins and a left elbow on the right arm. After waiting 8 months for parts then sent me a set of BMB arms. After telling them they sent the wrong parts they offered a refund if I would ship it if someone bought the "north america only copy" that they usually do. I said fuck it and punched the tail part pins and the elbow luckily doesn't hinder anything. The fact that Show.z couldn't easily get parts tells me that Zeta said screw this mould.

 

so it appears zetas is on sale at showz just wondering between zeta and Mechanical Alliance which has the better tolerances and overall qc?

 

Zeta's is better quality and has better tolerances in most places with MA having tabbing and odd tolerances with paint rubbing off.

Biggest issue is that while zeta's is better everywhere else (from what I can gather), the Shoulders are on screws and will come off/strip over time if you move them around. it's a tough choice because basically, no one has both to compare directly.

 

While I agree the shoulders are a big problem, with mine I just disassembled them and glued the screws in. I haven't noticed any problems since then. Has anyone done this repair and continued to have a problem with the shoulders? Now if you wait until the screw strips out you might not be able to repair it, and this was just a really bad design decision. But I feel like as long as this repair fixes the issue this figure is still pretty great. While not my favorite transformation, it is pretty impressive overall.

I had both zeta and MA and while I never transformed them, zeta looked a lot better and felt of much higher quality. Biggest point against MA for me was I did not like the finish on MA. At all.

And price has already increased to 103 plus shipping. I was eyeballing it, they had only 10 available. When the 2nd one sold, the price increased, don't know why, maybe because of exchange rate?

I bit the bullet and ordered it, even with the shipping it is still the cheapest out there.

 

Think it’s worth it for the $135 that Showz is asking for it? I really hate the idea of a joint that destroys itself, but it looks very impressive…

This is the fix I did, and seems like everything is fine now. I think he scales well with other 3P BB master pieces figures. For me that scale is annoyingly large, so I'm not getting more of them. But the figure looks great in both modes. The transformation is pretty tough, and takes a good 30 minutes. I've done is back and forth probably 4-5 times, and still use a video just because it is a lot to remember. If you really want a BB Blitzwing he is great.

 

I decided to purchase one from ShowZ. I like how this figure looks, and I'm sure I'll be able to do the fix so I can enjoy this figure. If not, he has a beautiful jet mode that I can display him in, alongside my MPM starscreams and TFC CAIC Z10. Best price I have seen for this figure, so might as well give it a go  

 

Interesting! So basically...glue in the screw. Thanks for posting! Definitely makes it more tempting. And wow still surprises me that they designed it so badly.

 

What is the repaint? A completely new color scheme or just some more weathering?
For some reason, I always thought this guy was Thundercracker no matter how many times they called him Blitzwing in the movie.

 

They didn't say exactly but the said they will do one. I don't think it would be a weathered version but most likely another seeker color.

 

I bought one of these from showz a while back and it is a fine figure, but it is just not for me.

 

Man this thing is massive in alt mode...!

Did my first transformation without any instructions, took me a good hour and a half to get the final bits in place, especially getting the arms and everything around in into place was a bit hard.

Got some more time this week ao I'll be flipping it back and forth a few more times

 

The right wing won't attach to it. Anyone else have this issue?

 

Both figures have their own issues. Can’t even decide where I wanna be disappointed.
