Clear plastic and rubbing alcohol is often a very bad mix. I wouldn't suggest using it to remove paint unless you can try it on a hidden spot first. I've seen 3P clear parts crack just from the FUMES of it, much less contact. (but opaque parts of the same figure can be soaked in it for days with no problem).

 

I see, is there any other way to remove paint from clear plastic? From what I’ve read from another thread is that diluted Isopropyl alcohol is okay to use on clear plastic.

 

Not really AFAIK. It's very hard to tell how clear plastic will react with various solvents. But most don't deal well with most.

 

Got mine yesterday. Shoulder wings hold up fine, main wings only need some nail polish to stop wiggling. Oily finish is cool; build quality looks slightly rough in some places.

 

Are Zeta not letting people post pics or something? Few people in this thread have it now and no new pics

Well looks like Zeta is or already has been fixing the issues from what I read from ShowZ and those copies will be the fixed version so If that’s the case will be ordering from ShowZ.

Hopefully it’s the same with other retailers...

Wings. The paint isn’t a QC issue, just a weird asthetic thing they chose not to change for some reason. Best thing to do without destroying the clear plastic to just paint a light yellow color over the grey. Not clear but at least it’ll be there.

 

Wing tip pivots flipped around to achieve the configuration shown in the video review...

 

That's good, glad I'm getting mine from ShowZ.

 

Just transformed mine and it was not easy, thankfully there's a youtube vid up which shows transformation from alt to bot and back again. Hopefully it'll be easier next time I do it cos damn, my hands hurt after that. Quite a few close tolerances and parts that have to be squeezed past or over others.
But I like it, nothing felt like it was gonna break and the tabs feel sturdy, the transformation is not for everybody though.

 

It looks awesome! I hope ShowZ can get the repaired batch and ship the order out soon!

 

If nothing break I'm buying it. I'm just so cautious of 3rd party figures now as so far I've had parts brake on

Apparently, the MA one is even harder to transform, at least according to the reviews. But this doesn't look any easier.

I think it might be user error....

 

I'll admit Challenger was but the rest absolutely weren't user error, they just had pieces break on them.

 

Just got my shipping notice, it should be here in a day or two. Will keep you guys posted once it gets here. Then I'll share my thoughts on the figure.
