I was originally sold on XS's, but after seeing an indept review and comparison of them both (

), I am now sold on Zeta's version. XS's definitely has some cleaner aspects in the jet mode, but Zeta's isn't far behind and makes up for what it may lack in alt mode in bit mode it it's accuracy, proportions, stability and paint scheme imo.

 

I just cancelled my zeta and bought the Mech Alliance instead. I know I should want better quality but the wings are killing me.

 

I think the newer wings are really good though. Relatively accurate without sacrificing for jet mode while BMB sacrificed the jet mode wings completely to get accurate wings in bot mode.

 

I’m still torn but leaning towards MA.

 

Do we have confirmation that the wings in bot mode are going to be changed? Because that's honestly the only big inaccuracy I can see on this guy, vs MA which has the correct wings but a bunch of other inaccurate bits. I'll probably wait for retail reviews to see how this shakes out (I'm assuming all the videos are of review samples, so far).

Hello, do you know if it is going to have the white part of the back of the jet mode??? I didn't think that he would end up with that ugly part but I'm watching reviews of Thunder Warrior and It seems like nobody cares, for me is really ugly.

 

Zeta went with ThreeZero colors instead of movie colors and that white part ends up in the bot mode shins so yeah, it will be white in jet mode.

 

Between Zeta and BMB,
Which of the two would you recommend me, if I put as a priority among my preferences:

- the accuracy and realism of jet mode

- the completism of the range of alternative weapons / accessories

?

 

- Zeta has a sculpted cockpit while the wings are slightly not accurate to the movie design.
But the USAF logo is wrong instead it's UFOAF. Can't speak about miscolored tail part tho because BMB has the same problem.

- Zeta and BMB have the same amount of weapons (well because they're the same character duh)
but Zeta comes with a stand that can store the weapons. Also, he comes with tiny missiles on his arm that Bumblebee used to blew him up.

I think they have pretty much the same accessories, correct me if I'm wrong though.
Zeta jet mode is FAR more proportionally accurate than BMB and can open the cockpit for display. Also includes a display stand. Zeta does have that silly UFOAF marking though, compared to BMB's USAF if that bothers you.

 

Oh yeah I just realized Zeta comes with more missiles, a middle fuel tank, and a bigger fuel tank(?)

Looks like Zeta has more missiles as well. Those four Sidewinders on the underside of the body while BMB only has the four AMRAAMs on the wings. Also Zeta's AMRAAMs look nicer.

What's the scale of the altmode?

Because if it's anywhere around 1:48 you can use model kit decals to fix the wonky Zeta decals.

 

The front half and the back half are completely different scales.
