Details are there but the proportions are way off. Good thing is it's still in the prototype phase so they have time to tweak and revise!

I'll give them an A for effort, but almost everything about this toy looks off. The wings are too small, the arms are slightly too skinny, the shoulders are too small, the weapon he comes with makes the arm it's on too big, and the torso is way too wide. Maybe it'll look better in color, but I think I'll just wait for Hasbro to release their inevitable Studio Series version.

 

Certainly a really good effort for a design that can never transform accurately. Even though the proportions are off in both bot and alt mode, it is still pretty damn impressive that they even came close considering all the "movie magic" transformation cheating going on in the film.

That said, I am already in with ThreeA/ThreeZero (deluxe and premium scale) and I really only want an accurate bot and do not care if movie stuff transforms. So... too late for me. But, I hope it does well.

Yeah, it looks...off. The figure has a real cheap, unrefined look to it.

im assuming its not the exact movie design, because they\'d get sued if it was. but this is great because I think it will increase the odds of Hasbro producing an official Studio Series Blitzwing. seems that\'s pretty much all they do nowadays. 3rd party releases whatever character, then Hasbro soon follows with their own version.

 

TW made almost a 1:1 Optimus from the BB movie and they seem to be going fine, so Getting sued ain't the problem, its whoever is designing it/how experienced the company is. I would say the problem lies with zeta being to comfortable with g1 characters and not really knowing how to do movie figures that well yet.

That prime is good but still WAY off in both modes. I said what I said because I'm trying to be positive.

 

The chest is at the wrong angle and the arms are a little small in the shoulder/bicep area......... But jets get me hot and bothered so I'll probably buy it lol.

 

Studio Series is already covering almost everyone from Bayformers, I'd rather see 3Ps focus on new versions of toys from the RID or Unicron eras frankly

 

But Hasbro's starting to do that too, so wouldn't 3p need to focus on something like beast wars neo to avoid doing what hasbro's doing?

 

Sorry but no, movie figures are way more complicated than RID or Unicron era figures and more popular as well, movie figure designs require Masterpiece scaled figures to be accurate as possible not cheap Hasbro shit
