When did these bots start shipping for everyone. I’m still waiting for mine to ship and starting to think I should cancel them and order from someone else. Seems like it’s been weeks now.

Terry. He’s in dark mode. That’s a long time, I think I’ve waited long enough.

Interesting, how much was that ems? I always thought paying for a level up ship method made no sense. Your paid shipping arrived in 2 weeks and my free method arrived 2 weeks 4 days.

It wasn't cheap. Around $30 for a bunch of stuff.
I had another order placed on August 16 with the free shipping that arrived less than a week before the paid one.

I say this because I’m in the Midwest. Seems like pretty much 7 days minimum from the time it hits customs, depending on what mood they’re in.

I'm also in NY.. crazy how the paid upgraded shipping doesn't seem like much of an upgrade sometimes.

Same here. Mine hit the ground early last week. I expect it will be at least this coming Friday or later before I see them.

mixed feelings about these. they are decent so i don't love them, but also don't hate them either. they are "okay", but definitely could have been better. paint is decent, has quite a bit of heft because of the die cast used for the front chest and leg panels. plastic quality/feel is okay. paint applications good. i for one am glad they scale well with NA seekers/coneheads as those are the ones i have.

i don't like the hands, feet and particularly the head sculpts for both bots. the hands flip out and are loose and floppy. they just swing back and forth easily. also there isn't a wrist swivel to it and i think they could have easily had one. looking at it closely, i initially thought it did and tried to turn them as it looks like there was a peg but didn't budge. don't see any reason why they didn't incorporated a cover flap instead of leaving an opening where the hands fold into for alt. also find the hand a tad small in proportion. the feet are also overly small and kind of pathetic and silly looking. also find them a tad loose. face sculpt is a bit derpy and details are soft (maybe too heavy a paint application?). wish they had sculpted them to look more like their MP counterparts as those look better.

neither of the top lines of the front nose/cockpit of the jets sit flush with the rest of the plane. it isn't bad but it's there. the canopy of DownThrust is good, but for SkyStrike is loose and kind of floppy in comparison.

FYI warning to anyone else that might encounter this problem. but the nose cone of DownThrust fell off easily right when i took it out of the packaging. unknown to me at the time, there's a separate small top piece that sits after the nose cone before the cockpit that also fell off. i didn't realize until much later but luckily i managed to find this missing piece after scouring the floor in several rooms, not knowing when/where it might have fallen off as i had the nose cone fall off several times. i've since glued both the small piece and the nose cone securely back on. :p

confused why they even molded such a small piece separate from the rest of it.

the left wing of DownThrust doesn't fold out straight compared to the right side. nothing huge, but it's there. side tail fins of DownThrust are firm and seem to lock in place straight out in jet mode, while tail fins of SkyStriker are really floppy and don't lock in a similar matter so takes no effort to knock them up/down instead of staying straight out. the little extra folding front piece of the top tail fin for DownThrust is loosie goosie. i had to clean off the post ends on it to be able to tab them in properly to push and fit the top tail fin relatively flush with the body.

overall i don't regret picking these two up and experiencing them first hand. but i am glad i didn't pick these up for $40 each, but instead got the pair for a little more than $60, which is more in line to what i think they should be at. i think these are definitely not in the same caliber as NA, MS or IF in sculpt/engineering/fit department. i find this more in line with say maybe some of MFT figures where they are good, but not quite there. i'll be keeping these for now and keep my eyes on the follow up releases which i'll prob pick up. but i can easily see myself picking up another better 3P brand release to replace them if/when the time comes.

    Very thorough sir, thank you.

Kind of figured as much that these wouldn't be MS or NA quality. If either of the aforementioned companies release the Aerialbots, this ZT set will go into alt mode, where IMO, they actually shine.

Thanks for the detailed review. I was hoping someone would post them with Iron Factory figures to see how they would scale together. I have a feeling they are more in line with Newage so a bit on the smaller side. I ordered them regardless because I wanted a legend size Superion. I did the same with the Cang Toys mini Firmament.

I feel as though many 3rd party companies are jumping onto the Legends scale bandwagon without the expertise of reputable companies such as IF, Newage, or MS. But at least they are taking on figures these companies have yet to tackle. Hopefully, that would be the wake up call they need to put out their take of the figures.

I also posted some of these pics in the Legends showcase thread but I really like how these boys look next to MS, IF and even an X2Toys figure. To me this is just about the right size for the limb bots. And if the Superion is about the same height as the big Jetfire then that is perfect.

May I ask where did you buy them?
The issues are concerning but I really want a legends Superion and afaik no other company are doing one.

These are the Legends scale Aerialbots from Zeta?
They're different to Zeta's MP scale Aerialbots.
If you're looking at an MP collection, FT's are a LOT better than Zeta's.
