I hope Showz bundles these two together in one package, same with the last two NA Devy sets. Reduce how much all these packages are flying around.

Thanks for the heads-up, just paid for my two preorders too.

I'm looking forward to see how these guys will sit next to MST and NA figures. Hopefully it won't take too long to Zeta to show the rest of the team, now.

yeah just wondering if they get the two boxes in at the same time (which seems to be the case), will they put the two together for one shipment rather than doubling postage.

Hmm. I’ll wait and see what these guys look like in hand. It’s weird that they didn’t show any pics…

Both listings include plenty of actual photos from quite a while now.

Good news. Somehow I came to be under the impression these guys were dropping months ago so I've had them paid since April. Can't wait to get 'em. I really enjoyed Zeta's MP version so I'm anticipating being pleased with these as well.

I've heard good things about zeta's mp stuff, so I'm hoping for a good showing on the legends area. This also gives me a better feeling about them actually completing the whole team. I was a little nervous there for a bit.

I was just comparing pics of the Air Raid MP version and legends version and damn, the MP version looks waaay better. I know there are size constraints but it doesn’t seem like they would have to dumb them down this much. I think I might wait for NA or MS to tackle these, they’d give a legends set of aerialbots a bit more love.

Maybe I’m being unreasonable to expect more at this scale, but I don’t think so with what the big 3 legends companies have been able to produce. These don’t hold up to current legends standards. They look dated and they haven’t even come out yet.

I feel the exact same way. He seems a bit closer to the DX9 era of legends toys. They’re not bad per se, just a bit closer to CHUG quality than to MP quality.

I held off on full payment of my preorder until they came in stock, because I wasn’t 100% sure I wanted to spend $220+ for what may end up as a placeholder Superion. But it may be several years or never before NA/MST get around to superion, so I pulled the trigger.

Yup, those are my thoughts too, just haven’t been able to pull the trigger. Especially for the price, maybe if they were sold cheaper as a set.

Sigh. Then in the back of my mind is “what if this is the only Superion we’ll get?”

So I used some points from show z and cash back rewards from discover and got these 2 for under $40 if I don't like I can return or resell. No harm no foul.

He only needs to match magic square menasor... then new age will come along and you'll have a painted, mini-mp superion :D

I just went back and looked at the pictures - what are you guys talking about? They're simplified, sure, and they're more cartoony looking which is typical of legends scale. But what is it about them that looks low quality? I mean the pics aren't much to go on so maybe you're seeing something in them that I'm missing but they look fine to me.

it comes down to the fact we have been spoiled by the offerings by NA, MS and IF with MP level of sculpting and engineering. the planes i think are respectable and good looking, at least from above and partially to the sides, but the bots are lacking for me. i'm finding them dated in look, kind of bland and crude.

not only do i not find myself going "wow, gotta have these", i don't even find myself saying "nice, gonna get these". my feelings right now are "meh, they are okay. but $40? i dunno, think they could be better".

MS stunticons were $40-50 a pair. while the NA and MS constructicons are $75-80 a pair. these Zeta pair is more in line to what the stunticons are, but priced up to the level of constructicons, which i don't feel they match in sculpt or engineering.

I completely agree. I feel like the design philosophy behind these was, “What would these look like if they had today’s manufacturing technology in the 80’s” haha. Like, they are very faithful to the original toys and cartoon, which is great for some folks, but for me I think there’s room to have something be updated a little and have some more interesting flavor added and still scratch that G1 itch.

That said, I preordered Skydive :)  Had him as a kid it’s a nice bit of nostalgia. I’m also just interested to see what a Zeta bot is like in hand.
