As of right now my biggest concern is they just painted over the chrome and the chrome bits will still be fragile. My original grimshell had some issues from the chrome some cracking and breakage. I really do love the design but I'm more worried about that structural integrity than the combiners

I really would want one too . I usually go with cartoon accurate toys but the official dinobots were just too small , so having an accurate head would be at least nice to have

Black head Slag...  

Any diaclone TW Slag owners like to swap their red head for a black?  

 

I watched some reviews, as I'm only interested in combined mode really, and I'll pass. This will be thrown out of the window pretty fast out of pure frustration. At least... don't think they changed anything?

 

The main gripe were the combiner ports, which have been changed as mentioned on previous page @ Zeta EX-04 Dinokong (Dinobots Combiner). How improved it is is still a question tho.

yeah count me in on one being super disappointed they didnt give us a red head. I mean come guys you were so close

 

I actually contemplated buying that blue chest one just for the red head to swap onto my "toon"colored on...then, good sense took over.

I did that for my TW set and actually found a buyer here who preferred the blue Slag with black head.

I pre-ordered this set immediately after seeing Power of the Primes Swoop and Slug in stores. I knew right away I wanted something more than Hasbro/Takara were offering.

Every update on this set gets me more excited! I dig how the original weapons included in the Toyworld release have been cast in all-black this time around. The guns look great in black!

And as for the original swords, well, I probably won't use them much but that's okay - those are just gravy on top of the new, beefy swords exclusive to this set.

Has anybody seen the crown that is meant to be included for not-Grimlock? I assumed it would be for not-Grimlock to wear in robot mode, but I guess it could end up being for the combined robot head instead.

Perhaps Zeta can be sweet talked into selling a few repaints.
or offering a red chest for Swoop for those who'd like the whole set to be toy coloured.

I'd not mind the blue chest of Swoop is there was an easily obtainable and not to pricey Swoop G1 KO with a blue chest - I think one exists but I've not seen one for a while. It's the inconsistancy with other toys that I don't like but if the majority end up with a blue chest Swoop I'll be slightly less bothered. I do think as a team they do look better all with red chests and black heads though.

When I get around to getting the MFT Swoops - I'll be swapping the chests over for that reason.

 

I wondered whether Swoop's head is improved.

 

I still can't believe that zeta are only rereleasing these and not making them the same size as there other combiners... I'm spewing.. i want constructor size.
