ABC is launching another new series, Zero Hour, February 14, 2013 8pm ET/7pm CT....Looks interesting...gives me a '24' kind of feeling. Starring: Anthony Edwards. This fast-paced thriller will take you on a quest around the globe to reveal one of mankind’s most riveting conspiracies, one that powerful forces have kept hidden for too long. Zero Hour | ABC TV Show News, Cast, Photos & More Hopefully, after the premiere episode airs on the 14th, we'll actually want to discuss what happens.
I saw a preview for this on TV and I wonder why I have not heard more about this show. I thought it looked awesome and I'll definitely check it out if I don't forget or if it's not conflicting with another show.
Well, that looks pretty interesting. Like a cross between 24 and The DaVinci code, I guess? I'll certainly give it a look.
^^^^^Love those comparisons! Yeah, they do seem like they're going to be on a quest there, saw another sneak peek on ABC this weekend..and it seems to have potential.
I thought this was going to be a discussion of Zero Hour (1957) the movie Airplane! is parodying. If you didn't know Airplane is essentially the same movie, but with jokes. Same plot. The Kareem Abdul Jabar bit is a reference to Zero Hour having football player "Crazylegs" Hirsh as a copilot.
Just want to remind folks to give this one a look see...the pilot airs Thursday, Feb 14th, Valentine's Day...okay, so DVR it. Airs on ABC, 7pmCT/8pmET Pilot Episode... Strike Paranormal aficionado Hank Galliston (Anthony Edwards) is drawn into a centuries old conspiracy with apocalyptic implications in this series...which begins with the kidnapping of Hank's wife from the antique clock shop by a man who's searching for an ancient treasure map.
It's on now...set those DVR's... ....starting out in Nazi Germany.....chasing a priest and company..HALT!
Well....2 episodes in and the chase is still on....guess this one is a bit of Da Vinci Code and the Nazi's are the bad guy, but having to chase around for the 12 clocks make it a little bit different. Edwards is pretty good, but most others in the series aren't really standing out too much. Charles S. Dutton as the priest who's helping Edward's character with church lore and info is pretty good too...tho they tried to take him out already. I'll keep watching it as I love a mystery...but I have a bad feeling it might not be catching an audience.
^It isn't, the pilot episode scored some really low ratings and it is definitely on the endangered TV show list already. I personally expected more people to watch the first episode.
I thought about watching it but I already have too many shows that I watch. Plus it's bound to get cancelled. These mid-season shows rarely last long.
I hate to say I called it,but ABC has already pulled Zero Hour from the schedule, replacing it with re-runs of other shows. This is yet another example of why I hesitate to start a new show.
ABC is considering showing the rest of the episodes sometime during the summer when nobody watches TV.They did the same thing with one of my favorite shows,666 Park Avenue.I'm still hoping to see the last few episodes sometime this summer.
Yeah, I had a feeling...it has been pretty good as far as giving folks a brain teaser or two...I liked how it began with 12, 1, 2, and giving examples of the numbers 'meaning' ..12 is divine, etc. Oh well...maybe I can catch it again along with 666...would be a good combo actually.
Well Zero Hour has been airing on Sat. nights, 2 eps last week and 1 ep this week airing b4 666....both shows were 'canceled' by ABC....but they promised to air them over the summer to complete them for the few viewers who did like these series. Hank discovered what happened with Laila and now he's chasing his own history too...is he really number 352? Pretty good twists with the clocks...
