Didn't want to post on this game until I had more information on whether it would just be another cheap tower defense game, or something worth playing, but now that I've read up on some "hands-on" I'm a bit more excited about this game. Day-night cycles, Leveling up, Morality meter (ala Mass Effect), and good controls (for a touch game). Basically there are touch control pads, but if you are near an enemy and you attack, the character knows to face the enemy. Animation looks nice too. I hope it's a reasonable price. IGN: Zenonia
Zelda, Secret of Mana, Secret of Evermore, Soul Blazer, thet're all from the beautiful age of top down adventure games
I'm keeping an eye on the App store, so I'll post when I see it released. I've actually been gaming a bit more on my Phone since UniWar and Vanguard Storm came out. The Star Trek game and Wolfenstien are fun too.
there's already a free Zelda game out there for cell phones. It's pretty sweet. It's an original game, based on the original, but with SNES type graphics.
Far as I know, it supports pretty much any phone (lots of different resolutions and button configs, you just choose which one to DL) It's called Zelda Mobile. Last time I played it, it was on final "beta" release. This means it stopped at dungeon 7, but at that time even he'd already been having people play-test his final dungeons and boss fights.
I just want you to know, Redline, that if this was available on Iphone, I would be draining some serious battery. Damn, I wish this was on Iphone. So is this legal, or is it enough of a variation on Zelda that it's called something else?
Just a headsup. This game came out this weekend for 6 bucks. For fans of oldschool Zelda (but leaning more towards Link to the Past and Wind Waker's visual style), this game is for you. The great thing is that it has experience and leveling as well as weapon armor upgrades. There are three classes to choose from (Paladin, Warrior, and Assassin) complete with their own weapons style and animations, and a pretty damn huge world to explore, with side missions, townfolks in trouble, and a cool little main storyline to follow. For 6 bucks, I can only think of a few other games on the Iphone that have been worth it, if this type of game is your cup of tea.
