No, I just read a little about it. I don't know how Hasbro addressed or ignored it.

It also sucks because Taiwan was probably able to watch Victory Series when it was a thing, so more people there would want a Victory Saber.

Hasbro won’t care about some Zavvi customers not getting their orders. Hasbro will have already been paid for the units Zavvi ordered, so there’s no financial loss, and there’s no damage to their reputation because the finger is pointed squarely at Zavvi for the screw up.

I really feel for the customers who waited a year for something they thought they had locked down only to find out after release that they’re not getting it. Not only do they have to scramble to get one at inflated aftermarket prices, they’re also dealing with release window hype and the normal financial burden of Christmas and the holidays.

IIRC they gave them a free Commander class toy and refunded their Star Saber Haslab cost. So they lost out BIG TIME b/c aftermarket on that is more than original cost plus a commander. If they gave them a free Titan Class plus a refund they MIGHT have been close to even BUT they'd also have to sell that Titan for full price minus selling fees. So even then it would likely be a net loss.

Hasbro SHOULD have been a responsible company and stepped up to make more using cheaper temporary molds. Bandai did this with a SH Figuarts Gohan figure they thought got lost at sea when a container ship lost a bunch of cargo. They announced they would produce more IF the freight turned out to be lost (it actually ended up being found safe). They were ready and willing to help out though. Hasbro told people too bad, here's a free toy and a refund so you can enjoy paying double for the figure b/c we're too greedy to produce more. Now it's happening AGAIN in a way with some company that Hasbro for whatever reason isn't filling orders for. I'm playing hell just to get some replacement parts for my Haslab. This whole thing is a sh**show from Hasbro. They need to do better all around.

I remember ordering the Exclusive Pulse Snake Eyes from them, and they canceled it on me. Zavvi is a 3rd party seller basically, so at the end of the day I think it really falls on them, and not Hasbro...
So basically financial loss to Zavvi then...dang will this be another company that goes under...

I'm having an similar problem with Velocitron Galaxy Shuttle, they had to send it to me at the beginning of the month so much so that at the end of November they ask for payment and they have a problem with PP so I have to do it again in a hurry (their problem because PP still had the authorization open of credit in their favor) and... now there is no more hurry, payment again pending their news of shipment and estimated arrival of the supply at the end of January. I am absolutely convinced that I will never see the figure, because a my (Italian) friend had the same problem with the payment with Star Saber to then receive the well-known apology email stating that he will never receive it...

I ordered an art print from Zavvi once.

    I received a pair of sweatpants…

Never received the print after speaking with customer service. I was refunded. Kept the sweatpants.

Unfortunately Zavvi probably has some fine print saying they can cancel pre-orders at any time. Meaning very little can actually be done. Besides maybe a massive boycott, but I doubt that it would ever get enough traction.

Zavvi was marketed as an official Hasbro partner in EU, so it's also theirs problem to fix this mistake. Every time someone who worked under me screwed up I had to fix that problem.

As Marcus Porcius Cato would said "Ceterum censeo Zavvi esse delendam"

So do we have any idea as to why they're doing this?

Someone with a Pulse account needs to get into contact with Hasbro about this, and see what they say.

"We'd love to help you, we can see that you're a fan"
The way this is phrased seems off, patronizing and overly familiar....

I'd never trust Zavvi for an expensive order myself. I've ordered from them three times - first time my order never arrived (Gen Selects Rotorstorm). Was advertised as being a in stock and available but after 2+ weeks of no shipping notifications and emails to customer service saying they didn't know when stock would be ready I cancelled and ordered him from elsewhere.

Second time was last year where I ordered some Christmas sweaters, they stated delivery within 3-5 working days and ordered at the end of November. Never arrived and requested them cancel my order, they refused because "part of the order has been completed" - that part was a digital magazine of theirs that they forced into your cart and couldn't remove. Had to battle high and low with them to refund me for the sweaters.

Third time was their Black Friday sale on the JP collaboration and this was surprisingly the only time I've had a successful order with them.

I'd say with personal confidence (but no hard evidence) that the issue here lies with Zavvi more than it would Hasbro. They probably ordered a bulk of say, 1000-1500 units and when orders on their site exceeded this they didn't do anything to amend the order with Hasbro.

On a made to order set that had orders placed over a year ago that should have been placed.

It is unacceptable and damaging to the companies involved

I think Zavvi is 100% to blame for this.

They probably didn’t understand what a HasLab product is (i.e. a made to order thing with customers being highly committed to their order) and handled it like any other wholesale order, i.e. ordering x units.
If that is the case they probably ordered less units than they had orders because they expected y number of people to cancel their order until release to avoid unsold stock in their warehouse (with y being a percentage based on their experiences with their other, regular orders).

The "problem" for Hasbro is that I was under the impression that Zavvi was the official outlet for backing HasLab projects for people in Europe where Pulse wasn’t available.
If that was the case then Hasbro should have taken greater care with selecting their partners and communicate better what the nature of a HasLab actually is.

Ultimately I don’t think Hasbro will do anything about it since not enough people are affected to even warrant a second run. And that would assume that the molds, if they still exist, would support additional units, etc.

So we can only have moral victory at this point? If anything fails we should use European Consumer Center (Consumer protection – Free Legal help and advice | European Consumer Centers Network).
    >terms and agreements
It's EU, our law > some online crap
    >but it's just a toy
At this price and rarity it counts as a collector item and should be considered as one.
Let's be honest, the best we can do is make enough noise that Hasbro won't consider Zavvi as official partner ever again.
