I can't quite put my finger on it, but something seems different about the proportions here compared to the last production sketches we saw.
Uh oh...if you closely you can make out what appears to be a butt flap. I don't think this is going to end well but at least this mold can be retooled into a convincing Sunstreaker.
More or less what google translate said. "One week left until the toy show. Since today I was constrained to the gluttonous care of MP all day, I had to work overtime." I'm sure a native Japanese speaker could phrase that middle bit better, but yeah, haha, that's about it.
So he's working overtime to get something ready for Tokyo toy show next week. I'd say that's good news, for us at least, him, not so much.
Yes, very good news indeed. Unless it's just Ultra Magnus painted (still cool but expected.) Would love to see Star Saber though.
My brain is melting just thinking about Wheeljack, Bumblebee, and Ultra Magnus painted up and displayed together at next weeks toy show, but I don't know if I'm prepared for a Star Saber prototype. Might need to go ahead and buy some new underwear as a precautionary.
It would be nice to have such certainty about Ultra Magnus also being painted up. Still, it has been a little while since the prototype was revealed in some detail now so this is one of two bits of exclusive Masterpiece news that the Tokyo Toy Show could give us. As far as updates to MPs we already know about that is. I'll refrain from making this about speculating on MP-23 and beyond, here and for now though. It will be interesting to see how far along Star Saber is. With everything else going on I wouldn't feel ripped off if we just got a look at the core robot. Stlll, that might pale in comparison with the other three upcoming Masterpiece offerings that will likely be shown off. Still, we could be treated to a heap of Transformers reveals in a fairly short time, with Botcon a week after this and SDCC a few more after that! I'm already unsure about having hesitated instead of buying the Botcon 2014 set in the non-attendee deal; not a lot of money could be saved through the rest of this year either way!
