Yep, and if you think about it, losing 2 Kaluts, 2 Books & 1 Icarus doesn't even matter because Enemy Controllers are often better than Book anyway in this deck, and because we now have Zephyros. In that respect, we can still do pretty much everything we could before, minus of course a few sack plays that often weren't even needed to win. Guess this is all just my opinion, but I don't think Blackwings are anywhere near dead. If anything, they're arguably better than they were last format because nobody sides for them, and because a lot of people don't even playtest against them anymore. Well as silly as it sounds, I wouldn't write Dark Necrofear out just yet. I mean sure, she doesn't exactly fit into any of the top decks right now, but the fact that Solemn Warning is getting played in a lot more (by this I mean almost everything) compare to Dimensional Prison & Bottomless Trap Hole that've declined means that she's a little bit more useful than before. Along with that, finding good Fiends really isn't that hard when cards like Newdoria, Sangan, Grave Squirmer, Night Assailant & Tour Guide get considered, and the fact that Dark World's apparently becoming relevant again doesn't hurt either.
And Limit Area Level B. My friend use to have a water deck using those two cards, annoyed the CRAP out of me.
That's also one of the cards my best friend uses to make all my monsters useless. It's freakishly annoying to try to get the right cards to destroy it, like Heavy Storm, especially when you don't have multiples of the same card.
Someone tried that on me when I was playing my Armed Dragon deck (amped up by Cyberdark Keel, Horn and Edge + 3 Hunter Dragons) and it was pretty exciting. Once Armed Dragon hits LV 7, there little any player can do to counter its effect. Even if its locked down by any cards, its still a force to be reckoned with. Unfortunately Dark Armed Dragon took it up a notch.
I actually have a number of good cards in my deck. A couple of examples include Splendid Venus, Imprisoned Queen Archfiend, Earthbound Immortal Chacu Challhua, and Sun Dragon Inti.
Here's an interesting tidbit: Exceed summon monsters don't use the same level system as other monsters, so they aren't bound by Gravity Bind and Limit Area Level B.
They're also not called "Exceeds" either, but that's another argument that I'm honestly sick of having with people. Speaking of which, lets all hype Instant Fusion.
Well, officially, they're "Xyz", which is kinda silly, since it's pronounced the same as "Exceed", but who cares? And Instant Fusion sounds a bit useless to me. I mean, you can't use the Fusion Monster to attack, and it's destroy in the End Phase, so... Yea...
... but that's not important. The part we care about is being able to special summons monsters ranging from level 3-5, which is kinda cool when it comes to the Xyz cards. Heck, I might even dust off Zaborg in light of things.
Spoiler Doesn't Pegasus die, though? Along with Grandpa? Than again, don't they also get resurrected?
