for some reason my laptop (barely 12 months old) is struggling to play standard youtube videos. the HD ones it can't play at all but even the standard ones wont and its puzzling as to why.

My laptop is fast enough, all the appropiate programs are upto date but after about a minute of watching a video it won't progress any further and just displays that little grey spinning ring in the middle.

Any tips or suggestions to solve this problem?

Edit - I use firefox, if that makes a difference.

 

if its not flash player i would say it sounds like your connection....

 

Try IE. If it works fine in IE then uninstall the Flash plugin for Firefox and force it to load a new one.

 

its stil doing it, always 1 minute 15 into a video. I'm guessing my connection times out or some other bullshit
