So, whenever I watch Google, or Youtube vids on my comp, y'know how the video just isn't correct, and sometimes blurry? Does anyone know how to change that? I tried messing with all my "display properties" for screen resolution, but, it never fixes the blur. Anyone know what Im talking about, or is there just nothing you can do...
Its not you, its them :/ *cue KA making lulz* As much as I love youtube like my own cousin (y'know, you "love them" but you don't really love them...in most parts of the world at least :X), I'm still pissed off that they don't allow downloads. Google Video is owned by the same damn company (Google!) and they allow downloads, but you have to jump through hoops on like three websites to get Youtube videos to work THEN you have to convert them. DN
Coincidentally it looks like youtube is playing around with higher res videos: http://cybernetnews.com/2008/02/29/watch-high-resolution-youtube-videos/ And for downloading youtube videos, I use the DownloadHelper Firefox plug-in, but I'm sure there are other plug-ins that work too.
Oh what a pain. Ya I guess I'll stick with DL and converting them too..... Lame, I thought there was some setting or something to help quality playback on the site.
Oh well I found a player called VLC works pretty good for flv files...... http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/how_to_play_flv_files.cfm now whats a better format for DVD? mpeg4? divx? what resolution am I aiming for, to transcode to DVD for good resolution?
