Well to be fair, I'd say it was an appropriate reference either way, given that well, Cartman is clearly the shining example of our youth.
The point I was really trying to make is that the kid in the video, if what's currently at work is allowed to take its course, will very possibly grow up into a ghetto thug and get himself killed or imprisoned - he'd hardly be the first, and he'll hardly be the last. And someone has to do something about it.
See, this is where I'd wanna post a video of a rival 4 year old gang member, and one who doesn't take too kindly to his dumptruck being secretly played with.
i think this boy needs to get hit by a belt. beat some sense into him. i guarantee he wont graduate high school
Damn those kids and their twist records and EC comics!
Not the future of America, he'll be shot dead in a gang fight before he reaches puberty.
It's his parents that need to get hit!! You think a four year old learned this all by himself? Doubtful. The parents taught it to him and thought it was cute then spread it around on youtube. I would be embarassed if that was my kid.
Bullshit there weren't. Take it from a white guy who grew up in the "inner city."
Plus theres the staggering obvious fact that there arn't 10 year old YouTube videos of such things because neither YouTube or today's ubiquity of videocameras existed back then.
Yup, this is why I really want to live abroad.
Wow, mighty tough preschoolers in your hood.
You missed the point entirely.
Which is what exactly? All you've managed to articulate so far is that you've looked at a video of a swearing kid on youtube and that you don't think that kids were like that in the past just because you never saw it.
there was even a pregnant 6th grader at my last school, so this is likee nothing
Not really, just potty mouthed.
Well that's a given. But I find it hard to believe that he didn't know even one potty mouthed kid. Even if it wasn't 4 and more elementary school aged.
Smkspy was analyzing the thread title rather then the video at hand. That was the point of my post you addressed. I could sit here and pick apart thread titles all day but, that isn't the point of discussion.
And I know kids have cursed before the invention of internet video hosting sites, I just this level of "fuck this, fuck that" and the use of other colorful words I will not be using, are not typical for a 4 year old. His age and the way he uses it, he looks like he is comfortable using it everyday, make this a case of wtf. Most kids older then he would have a giggle while using the word shit, not with this og.
This kid takes "Potty mouth" to an entirely new level.
What is the age of your typical 6th grader?
Children have been using swear words and other derogatory terms for a LONG TIME. They either learn this from their parents, siblings, friends, somewhere in public, or via television/music/movies. It's difficult to shelter your child from this sort of thing. There's always going to be some form of exposure. But I suppose the type of environment and upbringing determines whether or not it's a regular part of their vocabulary, if at all.
I grew up during the 80s and 90s and my first few instances of witnessing swear words was partly thanks to my brother, who is 7 years older than me. I used to eavesdrop on a lot of adult conversations as well. I also experienced it from classmates while I was in Kindergarten and First grade (yes, K and 1).
This is simply a case of bad parenting. Nothing more, nothing less. Welcome to 2011.
Kids say the darndest things.....
