You can list games that you have played that where released in 2019 and older games that you played for the first time in 2019. Pokémon Sword and Shield - Switch Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist - Link Evolution - Switch Moon - DS Chrono Trigger - DS Comix Zone - Genesis Shenmue 1 and 2 collection (the last time I played Shenmue was in summer 2001 and barely remember anything about it so it felt like playing for the first time) TMNT - GBA Mario Pinball Land - GBA Luigi's Mansion 3 - Switch Resident Evil Revelation 2 - Switch Maken X - Dreamcast Resident Evil Gaiden - Gameboy Color Hotel Dusk: Room 216 - DS Pokémon Trozei - DS Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team - GBA Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team - DS Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time - DS Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Space - DS Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness - DS Since the 2010s are about to end, anyone care to mention what memorable moments in the gaming world? Both good and bad moments.
I don't play as many games as I used to. Really miss all of the free time I had when I was younger. River City Girls - A beat em up title by Way Forward. Awesome sprite graphics, retro inspired soundtrack. Anime/manga influenced style. Gears 5 - I mainly just experienced the campaign mode, which I really enjoyed. Horde and Escape modes were pretty cool, from what little I've played. Borderlands 3 - only played it for a day, but had a blast. Mega Man 11 - nothing ground-breaking, but as a longtime MM fan, it didn't disappoint. It came out last year, I think. So I played it late.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 Mortal Kombat: Deception Mortal Kombat 11 The Punisher 2005 Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 Didn't play or buy alot of games this year.
The only new game I’ve played so far this year so far was Days Gone. Honestly, I really loved that game aside from the technical issues. I even got the Platinum Trophy; which I almost never do. Most of the backlog I caught up on were Vita games because I was traveling more frequently this year. I do plan on playing the new Modern Warfare and Jedi: Fallen Order for sure. I don’t think I can fit Death Stranding and RE2: Remake in this year, but I hope I can squeeze one in.
I finally joined the current generation when I got a PS4 for my birthday in March, so I've played more new games this year than I have for a while. These are in no particular order, just a list of everything I played for the first time this year. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night - AMAZING. Best new game I've played this year. Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon - Wow, they did a great job making this feel like a NES-style platformer. Plus when you beat it you can explore extra paths with the new characters. The Last Guardian - I'm a big fan of Fumito Ueda's Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, so I knew I'd like this one. Though of the 3, I actually like it the least. Fallout 4 - Still working on this one. Over 100 hours in and there's still so much to do. Dragon Age Inquisition - N/A. Only played this for about 5 minutes before Bloodstained came out, so no opinion yet. Mega Man 11 - Holy f@#$ is this game HARD. I used to be able to own Mega Man 2-6, but 11 is kicking my pansy ass. Uncharted 4 - Great game. My second favorite of the series after 2. Shantae: Risky's Revenge - First Shantae game I've played. Fun while it lasted, but not much to it and it was far too easy. Pokémon White - 110 hours in, still playing. I love how so much opens up after you complete the story. It's just a huge shame that the availability of so many Pokémon is tied to the now-defunct online service. I bought Metal Gear Solid 5 when I got the PS4, but I haven't brought myself to play it yet, such was my disappointment with MGS4. Not sure I'll get around to it by the end of the year.
In no particular order Devil May Cry 5 Astral Chain River City girls That's it, that's all the games I played that came out this year, all the rest where from my backlog, thanks for watching!
I bought a Switch this year so I bought a bunch of games this year just for that console that came out the previous year: LEGO DC Super Villains - Love every LEGO game not Indiana and this is no different, a lot of fun - 8/10 Mario Kart - I'd love to replay this more often if it wasn't for my crappy internet making online play impossible - 7/10 Lets Go Eevee - Its Pokemon - 10/10 Smash Bros Ultimate - The Spirit collecting has made me rage quit way to many times to be considered good, not good enough for online, and I grow board easily of everything else with only the DLC bringing me back - 4/10 I also got Minecraft for my Switch but I already had it for my One, 360, & iPhone from previous years so not going over again except its still a 10/10 As for new games: Castlevania Collection - Hate it, waste of time, can't get past the first level on any of the games included - 1/10 Mortal Kombat 11 - Its fine, not as good as X but still enjoyable, only got back into it recently cause of the DLC - 8/10 Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 - Hate it, a terrible game, way to difficult, haven't played it since it came out since I can't beat Dormammu - 2/10 Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order - Love the story, love the characters, love the setting. Can be challenging but felt rewarding when after two or three tries was able to clear something, but puzzles are to difficult - 8/10 Pokemon Shield - Absolutely love it, but catching Pokemon is a bit to difficult compared to previous entries - 9/10
God of war (got it a year after it came out) Assassins Creed Odyssey (got it a year after it came out) I did not realize until now that i didn't buy a 2019 released game this year...
Video game controversies of 2010s There have many controversies the last decade. (Nothing political like politics blaming games for certain events nor something that is not important like editing Rainbow Mika's butt-slapping when she performs a super or the subject of gamergate) But more like the great 2011 PlayStation Network hack. That made me super nervous when it was told. The following day I cancelled my debit card for a new one. 3 weeks of waiting for the chance to change my password. Xbox One debut with announcement of always online DRM. At the time, I didn't understand the concept of it until a few days later. It sucked to me. It also made me more aware of buying digital games. Fallout 76. I never knew of the series until the premier of Fallout 3 oh so long ago. It was a awesome game. Despite the bugs but from I heard about FO76, I'm glad I skipped it and this &100 a year subscription and people losing their items they spent so much time collecting. I feel bad for gamer who have this but I see how messed up the game is that is hilarious. Everyone who have played and suffered from Fallout 76 deserve a medal. Anyone have stories of WTF happened in things in the 2010s?
Sadly, I did not play a single game that was released in 2019, nor played for the first time in 2019. All of my new games predate 2019, and all of the games I played on older consoles, I already played before! Lots of things in gaming happened in 2010-2019! The 3DS! The Vita! Fortnite! The Switch! It's hard to pick a place to start, really - it's been a surfeit of riches. However... there has been no new X-Wing/TIE Fighter, so the mission is not complete.
