Pre-ordered the Capcom Fighting Collection. As huge as a Darkstalkers fan I am, I admit the biggest draw for me was to finally have a legit copy of "Red Earth".

I got the Final Fantasy VII remake part one off Steam while the sale was going. Game looks gorgeous, plays pretty smoothly but for some reason the game doesn’t natively support WQHD resolutions except 2560x1440. I can go full 4K, or a couple of weird intermediate resolutions but not 3440x1440. Although it’s possible that Square just decided deal with the resolutions most likely to occur - 1080p@144hz and more looms large in PC gaming - and call it a day.

it’s not the biggest deal in the world, just struck me as odd.

Last big purchase for awhile, but I couldn't pass this one up. In addition to the system, gamepad, and all those games, it included two Wii U Pro controllers. Very happy with the purchase overall!
    IMG_20220701_205719394.jpg

The bummer is that a few of the games are giving the invalid disc error and the charger for the gamepad doesn't work. The chargers are fairly inexpensive on Amazon, so no big deal there. I know the gamepad is fine because it was working before the battery died. Worst case, I'm getting pretty handy at console repairs and parts don't seem to cost too much.

Okay I grabbed Aliens Elite Fireteam, Devil May Cry HD collection and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey off the summer sale. Since I got the top tier versions of Aliens and AssCreed all three cost just $100.

I've been learning how to homebrew softmod the Wii system over the last few weeks. Now that I've got the process down and figured out what exactly I want to include (as well as acquiring several hundred roms), I decided to buy a Wii to use as my primary Nintendo device for the living room. It needs more work than I realized, but it's primarily cosmetic. I also purchased some replacement doors and third party controllers to go along with it.

Got a 3DS lot from eBay delivered yesterday. Console, case, and game are all in great condition!

I had never tried playing 3DS games on an actual 3DS console before, so I was a bit concerned about how the experience would go. Fortunately, Mario Kart was not bad on the eyes. We'll see how the experience goes for other games.

Not so much a "purchase" as an acquisition, but I found a third-party 64 gb GameCube memory card while I was cleaning the other day. Initially thought it was a third-party PS1/2 Memory card, but when I tried to slot it into my PSOne, the fit was WAY too loose. It was then that I realized it could only be for one other system: the GameCube
