Classics Rodimus.

The amount of slagging this figure gets has always astonished me. I'm not even a fan of Hot Rod, but that figure ended up being one of my all time favorites in the entire Classics-verse line. Solid as hell, great proportions, cool transform, and a nice blend of being updated yet still distinctly looking like Hot Rod. Never understood the hate for it.

I don't know. Most of the one I talked don't like him, and he was big time peg wamer.

Henkei Hot Shot

 

The Armada toyline. Ultimate DOTM Prime might learn a lesson from that optimus   I think it wouldve been better if it contributed more to the combined mode like Armada.

 

I'm a fan of the Movie Swindle/Camshaft mold. Yeah, I know it sucks big time, but personally I think it just needs a little personal character given to it (like a new paint job or something) and it becomes a neat little guy.

Just don't pay full price for one.

I also love the Animated Soundwave mold. I've heard a lot of hate for that figure, but I think he looks awesome. I own both versions of the deluxe, too, the repaint is properly named "Soundblaster" and together both Soundwaves do Dragonforce songs on expert level in Guitar Hero.

Energon's Autobots were mostly plagued with Hasbro's need to make them ALL combine with each other, which ended up making a good number of the figures lacking articulation (I.E. Energon Hot Shot) for the sake of being able to become half of a robot with pants. And Wing Saber can't do shit except look good and make Energon Prime an actually decent toy. The Decepticons, on the other hand, were mostly okay.

 

Some of the Energon Autobots like Cliffjumper and Ironhide were pretty damn good by themselves. I'd even say the same for Prowl. The only thing I don't like about him is how the head assembly was engineered.

 

Beast Machines Supreme Cheetor. He's not a great figure, but he is a ton of fun and I love him to death!

 

G1 Wheelie. Yes, I DO like him. Piss on you if you don't.

 

Energon Inferno and Rodimus are a couple more I like that others might not.

 

Inferno was probably the best autobot in that line.

 

Cybertron Override.

 

Rotf Rampage and Dotm Skids. Poor Skids has been getting ALL the hate lately  . Just fold up the toes and turn the lower legs around and he becomes a better toy with more proportionate legs and proper knees!

 

Energon Grimlock.

What? no YOU'RE wrong!

 

Armada Scavenger. He's a great homage, has a decent look in both modes, a fantastic minicon and some entertaining gimmicks.
