Cream cheese has one of the worst flavors.

Other foods I don't like include cheese, most salad dressing, celery, tomatoes, chicken, peas/beans, coffee, vegetable juice, potatoes, mayonnaise, and egg yellows.

I like alcoholic drinks every once in awhile too. Some things are better with alcohol, like tiramisu soaked in rum, "fancy" drinks, some expensive beers, etc.

But in this world it's easier for an 18-30 year old to tell people you are gay than it is to tell them you don't like to go out and get hammered every weekend until you're a sleepy ******. (I'm not gay but I feel like the level of acceptance between your peers and random strangers is much greater. Especially in college.) If you don't drink people often ask "how do you have fun?" People can't do anything without it, and I feel like I lose more friends to obsessive drinking than anything else.

I just hate seeing some of my friends drunk, it's not fun for me.

Personally, it's cherry's, although I can stand most things that are "cherry flavored". It's just something about the taste of real cherry's that I absolutely can't stand. Chocolate and ice cream don't help it at all.

I very much doubt that its easier for someone to tell people they're gay than to say "I really don't like to drink". Heavy drinking is very much a part of college life, but people aren't ostracised because they don't binge drink. And if your one of the few then you're obviously looking for friends in the worng places.

But I do agree about the "how do you have fun?" comment... though its usually just a joke.

And may not be fun for you, but its fun for them lol.

I don't know if you've been to college or how old you are but it doesn't matter where you look. I've been friends with everyone ranging from frat boys to kids who play D&D and paint Warhammer on the weekends, and they all got into binge drinking. At my age if you don't drink you're a social misfit. If you're gay, at least you can hang out with other gay people and anyone else who drinks and parties :p

It seems like students are more accepting of their gay peers than their sober ones. When I see kids tell others they are gay, they either accept it, think it's cool, are gay, or even if you can tell they are weirded out they still pretend to be cool with it. Tell someone you don't drink and party, and they question you like a terror suspect. "WHY? WHY? HOW DO YOU ENJOY LIFE AND DO ANYTHING FUN?" :D  That's more or less the point I was trying to make based on my own experience.

It could be my shit luck with making friends, but I've met countless people from all walks of life at university and it's very clear that from the football team to the 5.0 honor's student doing independent research- if you don't drink, there's something wrong with you. You guys that get hammered don't have that problem :drunk

I do have some good friends that I get along with well, but the problem is meeting new people. There's a stigma against you. It's probably easier to tell them you play with Transformers lol

Well, I genuinely sorry for you then. I've been in the university system for roughly ten years about to start my PHD (had too much fun the first couple of years lol), and not had nor heard of the problems that you are facing. Hell, I'm heavy drinker when I do drink, but I have tons of friends that don't drink and we hang out all the time. Doing activities that don't require drinking and some that do, but the "stigma" had never been mentioned. I don't mean to be rude, but maybe you're take their drinking or those comments a little too personally?

and on topic: Another food I despise raw onions and oysters. Ugh, but I can eat them fried.
