I was big into trading cards so probably something like that off of ebay but it could have been video games off amazon. Who knows, brings back memories of some older stuff I purchased though. Does buying games on Prodigy count? I shopped a lot on ebay before Paypal existed. Mailing money orders was a pain in the ass, but as it turns out, it was cheaper than using Paypal.
Mine was the Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, Vols. 1-4 box set from Amazon.com, which my dad helped me buy 15 years ago. It's still the best manga I've ever read and a must-have for Miyazaki fans.
