Mine was an issue of Transformers,I don’t remember which but I’m pretty sure it had Starscream on the cover. It was when comics were 25 cents but a couple issues later the arc concluded in a 50 cent double issue. I’ve been into comics ever since.
marvel uses death head, machine man and the microns at times but poor circuit breaker never gets used by marvel.
Hah yeah, even the Spaceknights of Galador and Red Ronin got action long after the licensed comics where they gained prominence got cancelled.
She's due for a revisit. There's gotta be somebody out there with a four-issue story to tell about a problem that can only be solved by a spunky young woman who overcomes her paralysis with technology and can manipulate electricity. Pitch it similar to Marvel Rising or Silk, accentuate her technological genius, make her adorkable. Put somebody like Jenn St-Onge or Emma Vieceli on art duties. Importantly, remember that she used to be drawn looking super-cute. Lean into that, rather than the angry, hard-case she would later be drawn as. I just talked myself into buying the series. Now I just need Marvel to make it. ~L~
You think she would of showed up in the iron man 2020 event last year with all the robots and machines. Deaths head even showed up. She would fit great in a issue of iron man.
For me it was these two. When I was nine my grandfather (“Poppy”) bought them for me at the Old General store by the wharf in my hometown. I was especially amazed by the Transformers cover — how could Optimus be killing the Autobots!!! Can still see Poppy turning around and hear him say “You want those?” as he snatched them from me and slapped them down on the counter. I was amazed and baffled that I was actually getting them so I didn’t say anything. Was reading them in the truck immediately afterwards.
The Archie TMNT run I think, though there might’ve been others with Donald Duck or something that I don’t remember.
I don't have one that was my first ever because the first time I ever got a comic book was for Xmas in 89 where I received a bunch at the same time. It included some Flash issues when Barry was about to go on trial for murdering Reverse Flash, some Silver Surfer ones where he fought Thanos, a couple of Batman books with Joker, and some other stuff. The first comic book I ever bought with my own money though was Part 1 to IN The Name of the Rose from Web of Spider-Man.
