i like the look of the alternity guys and animated.

 

I'd have to say that, since I've been studying him quite extensively recently, that I do like the look of Energon/Shattered Glass Megatron.

However, my all-time favorite design will always, always be a mix between Origins Megatron and Hearts of Steel Shockwave.

 

I think this thread needs some G2 Cyberjet love...

OK they were a poor mans macross toy but they were way WAY ahead of their time even when they got reissued in Universe and Robot Masters they still seemed like toys ahead of their time and they look awesome with those faces.

 

Repugnus. He makes ugly look good.

 

G1 Prime has to be, since its the most used prime look ever.

G1 Predaking. I love everything about this dude, his face, the wings, his weapons, his colors, perfect design.

 

G1 Bruticus and Energon Bruticus Maximus I always thought looked great. Really imposing figures while having that mismatched freak look, like the Jason Vorhees of transformers or something.

Unicron Trilogy would have to be Tidal Wave. Fantastic vehicle modes, love the combined look and how it reminds me of a Star Destroyer from Star Wars. Robot mode looks great, even if he can't move much.

For movie designs it would have to be Optimus Prime. He's a big pile of awesome, especially the RotF leader-class figure.

In the comics, it's hard to say. I'd leave it at a tie between IDW Bludgeon and Nova/Nemesis Prime. Great designs. I'd love to see a Nova Prime figure someday.

 

G1 Prime. I think his cool design at least partially contributed to his popularity.

 

Springer. Great design, color scheme and he's a triple-changer. Awesome.

I think I'll have to go with G1 Grimlock. It's a simple and powerful looking design that is also a dinosaur, can't go wrong there.

 

Right noe, Movie Sideswipe. I wish we could get a more accurate mold of him in human alliance, with guns, retractable swords well stored kibble...
