Tell me how much you won the most? Or how much did you lose? Have you used bitcoin in gambling? What games do you like? My favorite is sweet bonanza!
Low stakes blackjack table at a Casino on the coast. 20 bucks in, 200 bucks out. A week later bought Titan Trypticon with it lol. It's fun when you're with a group. I doubt I'd ever do it alone. I don't find gambling appealing in general but I was on vacation and decided to try it out. My friends had already blew their money in the same table and I jumped in after them.
I've been to two casinos in my life. Broke even on blackjack, but I also wasn't into it. Didn't even really want to be there. Used to play cards weekly with friends and the most I won on dollar poker was $250 (intense game). I was just there to be with my friends, so it felt wrong taking their money. Otherwise, I find gambling to be distasteful and downright harmful. They're opening a casino in the town I work in and signed the petition against it.
Can't say I'm a fan, though I can definitely see the appeal. I'm definitely against it becoming an inescapable part of gaming that prays on people who struggle with addiction and often children who aren't mentally developed enough to know how to deal with corporations preying on them.
I played in a WPT tournament back in 2009, which had an entry fee of $2000, and I took 11th place and won $8800. Too bad I didn't take 1st, which would have netted me $150,000 and a free entry to the main tournament .
Most I've won is around $500 on a slot machine. I don't really gamble much. If I go to a casino I'll put $20 in a slot machine and that's it. I don't do table games. I work too hard and put up with a lot of shit for my money to piss it all away gambling.
I see that not all of you love gambling! Some of you like play poker and blackjack, but I'm a lover and connoisseur of online gambling with bitcoin, I really liked it. Yes, not everyone has the same views on these things. Imagine, someone also thought that he didn't like it, and after winning, he began to like it. That is, thanks to luck, the view of players to the slot machines changes.
It doesn’t take a genius to realize that gambling is a purposely rigged game. More people lose then ever win, thats how they get their money. And any fool who thinks they bet the chances and be the one who comes out on top, well, your a fool. Don’t gamble, otherwise it will get to a point where I can tell you “I told you so”. As for me, I’m no fool. I won’t even play gacha or lootbox games because I know that, that too is rigged against you. Closest I get to “gambling” is playing Azur Lane because it is technically a Gacha. But I don’t ever have to put any money into it unless I want a character skin, or more character slots. So there is no actual pissing money away on chance.
Wife and I have been to Vegas many times. First time we were there was for an all expenses paid corporate vacation. She won "most cash in" here in our region. Short point...corporate gave us each $400 in chips. First thing we did was cash them all in, then rented a car and drove to Red Rock then Grand Canyon where we ended up staying the night. After that we signed up for 2 different ghost/history tours then walked the entire strip over the next 3 days, hitting every casino and playing their "if you put a quarter in the slot machine, we'll give you a free drink game". That's the only real winner in Vegas!
I buy lotto tickets once in a while. Played the slot machines a few times at one of the west coast beach casinos. Won $100 one time. Another time I saw $20 disappear in 2 seconds & I was like “let’s go find a better way to burn our money,” and so we went and got lunch. Much better investment.
I’ve been to Vegas once and a couple other casinos on a couple of occasions. My Vegas winnings totaled about $120 playing $5 Blackjack for about an hour one night…used the money to get a few souvenirs for my family. I’ll never forget sitting down at a bar in the MGM Grand (waiting for my friends to get there). The bartender told me if I put a quarter in the video poker machine at the bar, he’d start feeding me “free” booze. I think I got three glasses of Jack and Coke for about $1.25. Lol. I don’t think I spent more than $20 during any other visit to any other casino in my life. I don’t find pissing away money to be enjoyable.
The most I've won? I left Reno with about $4k of winnings 20 or so years ago. My dad and I tried to play golf one morning mid-April but got snowed out. Went to the casino and I sat down at a blackjack table with $100. Ten or so hours later, I was up around $12,000 and playing two spots at the table with a $1,000 bet on each spot. I lost four in a row and thank goodness my dad was still there playing with me. He convinced me to leave while I still had the casino's money. Epic bonus about all that was the casino thought I was a high roller. For a year they comped me air fare, limos, suites, fancy meals...they even gave me money to gamble with. They didn't get their money back. Heh. *edit* Then there was the time in Vegas I was explaining to my brother-in-law what Keno was and how it was such a rip off. Threw down a few bucks and immediately won $300. Guess who bought breakfast for the table?
I play the lottery with the idea " don't play, can't win", and while the odds are atrosnomical, I would just need the starts to align once correctly. I won once a couple of thousands and that allowed me to travel and meet some friends at the time. Aside that, don't care about the whole gambling that whatsoever, and if anything, I've seen how bad gambling can be. I was a support for a few people in my life that were GA members, attended their meetings, heard a LOT of horrible stories, on top of knowing some people that told me about the local casino and it's hotel and how they sneak out suicides on a regular basis. Whenever I hear about the people believing themselves "basasses" at poker, etc, I kind of roll my eyes a lot... I played with a few that had that attitude a couple of times (but refused to play for money, so just chips) and ended up wiping the floor with them (it was quite sad to see how angry they became). It's one thing to do it for "fun" but like many other things, it doesn't end well for a lot of people.
Thread starter was banned, but the thread seems interesting enough for now. When done "properly" gambling can be fun. Expensive fun, but fun. Remember also that gambling addiction is a ruinous thing. I had an uncle that literally ruined the financial lives of himself, his now EX-wife, his oldest kid, and one of his sisters. 24 Hour Confidential National Helpline Call 1-800-522-4700 Chat ncpgambling.org/chat Text 1-800-522-4700
My ex-wife's boyfriend has a problem with it. He stole lots of money from his mother to fund his addition, and even stole money to buy an engagement ring when gambling didn't pay off. The most they won (she gambles now too) was around $16K, but that all went away within a month.
