For those of you who own many different toys of one character (for example an Optimus Prime from each of the various toy lines), do you ever find yourself fiddling and playing around with only one of these figures and unintentionally neglecting all the others? I've found myself doing this quite a bit recently, I have a few Starscreams but realised I've only been actually fiddling with the Fall of Cybertron Deluxe and have barely touched my others for some time. As a result, I've started calling the FOC Deluxe my "default" Starscream because he's the one I seem to like playing around with the most. It's like this with a few others as well, my defaults have ended up as:

    Optimus: Prime First Edition Voyager
Bumblebee: Age of Extinction Deluxe "High Octane"
    Jazz: Reveal the Shield Deluxe
    Wheeljack: Generations Deluxe
    Arcee: Prime RID Deluxe
Ironhide: Dark of the Moon Voayger
Sideswipe: Revenge of the Fallen Deluxe
    Rhinox: Armada Deluxe
    Ratchet: Prime RID Deluxe
    Megatron: Prime RID Voyager
    Soundwave: Prime RID Deluxe
    Starscream: Fall of Cybertron Deluxe
    Shockwave: Prime Beast Hunters Voyager

Does this happen to anyone else? Should I take it as a sign that I have too many toys if I hardly do anything with them and need a clear-out?

Well, when I get my TF's I tend to put them in an easy access box, then as that fills up older toys get put into a not so easy access box, and the ones from that not so easy access box go into storage.

Certain figures go up into my main living room display (Hot Rods, Bumblebees, Optimus Prime and S1 CHUG) but they don't get much fiddle time as they're in the display.

Honestly though, the toys which are always easy access, which return to my hands again and again for fiddling are Cyberverse/Legends... but I wouldn't call them my defaults.

I can't really do this, because I only ever have a portion of my collection out at one time. Right now, it's Prime/BH on the top shelf, and Classics/WfC/FoC on the bottom shelf. And before that, it was two shelves of movie figures lol.

If I feel like fiddling around with any bots it's usually G1 or some legends. I enjoy the simplicity of them.

Counting only characters I have at least three toys of:

    Optimus prime: Prime Weaponizer
    Bumblebee: Animated Deluxe
    Sideswipe: Masterpiece
    Starscream: ROTF Voyager

I'm sure there are more, but those are the toys that come to mind that I take off the shelf and transform regularly. That being said, those aren't necessarily my favorite versions of the characters, just the ones that are good for a quick transformation fix.

I only really "fiddle" with a toy when I intend on displaying it in a different pose or place, but recent examples that I keep coming back to are:

    Optimus Prime: AOE Evasion Mode
Ultra Magnus: Classics G2 Combat Hero Prime w/ KO Maketoys DIA Commander Armor
    Bumblebee: DOTM Cyberfire (Murderbee)
Rodimus: Classics w/ KO Fansproject Protector Armor
    Starscream: Generations Armada
    Hound: AOE
    Grimlock: MP
    Swerve: Maketoys Trash Talk
    Gears: Maketoys Cogwheel
    The Fallen: Maketoys Paladin/Chaos

Hmm, I sure do love buying Maketoys' stuff :lol

Optimus Prime: FoC Deluxe, a great deal of fun to transform as it is simple and therefore smooth, becoming fiddle fodder. I also tend to mess with posing and give him different guns for fun. Evasion Mode Prime may take his place.
Bumblebee: Generations Legends, a tiny little guy that I can crack loads of crazy, comic poses with, give different guns and transform a bunch.
Hoist: Gen. Deluxe, he is the default figure. I tote him around, transform and pose him more than any other figure I own.
Grimlock: As I have only the Gen. Voyager, that one. I like how big and powerful he looks next to all the other Fall of Cybertron themed figures.
Starscream: FoC Deluxe, I like positioning his cannons and combining them. I seldom transform him, oddly.
Shockwave: FoC Deluxe, it may be a tie with the DOTM Voyager. I find the vehicle mode, giant cannon and the character's logic motif a lot. I also find the look of the figure with the "wings" on his back very appealing.
Megatron: DOTM Voyager, he looks mighty fine to me and is a blast to pose. Helps that he is the only Megatron I have bigger than 3 inches tall in robot mode.
Barricade: DOTM Cyberverse Legion, he is a lot easier to transform than the deluxe and I find the light coloration interesting.
Skywarp: Gen. Deluxe, I tend to use him as a cannon fodder drone. He looks really nice and I transform him a lot when I grab him. Also, what can I say? I like fun with 5mm peg holes.

My top three more fiddled with are:
    1. Gen. Deluxe Hoist.
    2. Gen. Legends Bumblebee.
    3. FoC Deluxe Optimus Prime.

Have to admit as much as I like the Voyager classic Prime mold as soon as I got the WFC version I kind of stopped messing with him. Nemesis Prime is a toss up between the Uni 2.0 version and the Toyko Toy Show Darkside WFC version. Both get equal transforming time.

    Warpath- Uni 2.0 Legends
As much as I love the deluxe mold, I can't help but go back and fiddle with this little guy.

    Neat thread.

Optimus: WfC Optimus. My favorite Optimus and my favorite deluxe. Transforming him is stress relief for me.

Megatron: Darkside WfC Megatron. WfC Prime and Megs are my favorite iteration of those two.

Jazz: it gets a lot of hate, but FoC Jazz. Articulation is lacking but everything tabs together well in both modes. I fiddle with him a lot more than the (superior) RtS mold.

Springer: the generations Voyager is my favorite Springer, and is one of my all time favorite transformers ever, but I fiddle with the GDO deluxe the most. Strange. That deluxe helicopter mold it just so nice.

Wheeljack: DE prime mold. It's just so fun.

    Hot Rod: Animated. Easily.

Soundwave: FoC Soundblaster. I know it gets hate but the gimmick is fun when it works, the figure has crazy articulation, and the transformation is simple but not easy.

Grimlock: FOC, tho AOE leader is really cool with the custom paintjob I gave him.
Blitzwing: Generations, even though his tank-barrel is broken.
    Barricade: HA
Brawl: FOC, unfortunately, bleh. Same for all the Combaticons.
    Springer: The sexy Generations voyager.
    Vehicon: PRID
    Predaking: PRID voyager
