so far I have: . Joel Edgerton as batman . Eddie Redmayne or Dave Franco as the riddler . Robert Redford (brown Hair) as commissioner Gordon . Michael Keaton (with a small mustache and black hair) as Alfred Pennyworth . Jack Black as the penguin (that would be amazing) . and if the jokers in it, James Franco now, lets hear your guys's choices!
Let’s see if I can do better than the idiots who ignored Pattinson’s black aura from Twilight and made him the new Batman: John Cena - Bruce Wayne/Batman Pierce Brosnan - Alfred Michael Douglas - Commissioner Gordon Robert Downey Jr - Joker Tommy Lee Jones (Via CGI) - Two-Face Megan Fox - Catwoman Steve Carrell - Riddler AJ Styles - Firefly Jack Black - Mad Hatter
So far I’m really satisfied with The Batman’s (2021) casting. Paul Dano is the Riddler, come on you can’t get better than that for a Riddler in his 30’s. But I’ll totally do casting for a Batman Beyond movie Terry : Dylan O’Brien Bruce : Micheal Keaton Commissioner Barbara Gordon : Julianne Moore Maxine : Kiersey Clemons Dana : not many choices, I’ll probably go with someone new Derek Powers : Patrick Wilson
Army Hammer as Bruce Wayne/Batman Ralph Fiennes as Alfred Ian Glen as Commissioner Gordon Willam Dafoe as Joker Alfred Molina as The Penguin Patrick Wilson as Two-Face Morena Baccarin as Catwoman Tom Hiddleston as The Riddler Boy Holbrook as Firefly Eddie Redmayne as The Mad Hatter Bonus: Nathan Fillion as Clayface Emily Blunt as Poison Ivy
I would cast the Batman movie as if it was a one room stage play, with Pattinson playing all the parts from Batman to Alfred to Joker to Catwoman to Robin to Gordon, just to watch prfctcellrulez's head explode, Scanners-style. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAaaaaa...gasp...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAA...choke...sputter...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA...oh sweet buddha... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA...HAHAHA...HAHA...HA...hahaha...where's the tylenol? Now here are some great choices.
I also like Autoboticon's casting. Only thing I'd change would be not the cast, but the setting. I'd set it in the late 1920's, or early 1930's. During prohibition. I'd costume Batman like his original form. I'd follow up everything else that way too.
Maybe you're just not familiar with the concept of what acting is. Cena has screen presence and he can recite dialogue. Okay, check and check. Good start. But he does not have the acting chops to sell being the world's greatest detective. He couldn't even sell being a New Jersey Police Department junior detective. The upper range of what he'd be capable playing would maybe be NJPD beat cop. Nor could Cena sell being educated and born rich. He's a working class meathead and that's all he can portray. He could maybe be Guy Gardner, if you really want to see him in a DC movie. He could probably pull that off. But have mercy on the guy. Don't ask him to embarrass himself playing someone so far outside his range. What you're suggesting is like asking Tor Johnson to play Albert Einstein. Come on now.
I would bet millions of dollars that he wouldn’t. You’re saying that pickle flavored ice cream is better than vanilla ice cream. You want good casting for the role and not just choosing celebs that you think are cool. Look at Autoboticon’s list
Thanks guys. I really like that idea, the thought was definitely a more 20s-30s aesthethic for Gotham, even if it was present. The idea is more or less a few years into after Bruce as begun being Batman, enough time for a rogues gallery, but still fresh with how he handles things. More detective then tech.
