#3 would likely be Siege Jetfire followed by MMC Inventa.

 

i dove heavily into collecting last March of 2019 only. these grabs are notable due to age, some exclusivity and how hard it is to nab them without going over my cap:
• Gatchaman G1 and G2 from Infini-T Force
• SHFiguArts Cyborg 009
• SRC Great Mazinkaiser, Black Getter, Grendizer's Spazer

 

For me, it is a toss between UT Destroyer and DX9/UT La Hire. LT02 Optimus is a close third with his MR.Bucket add-on.

 

MMC Springer and Revoltech Gambit are very nice for very different reasons.

But Flame Toys Star Saber is the absolute business

3/4 yes. Shared first place:

Mmc Carnifex, after wanting one for years. A solid chunk of doom with one of the most comic accurate face sculpts (and hands, oddly) I’ve ever seen. The Chug Autobots don’t look happy with this guy looming over them. Tbh the Decepticons look intimidated too. The only one smiling is Carnifex.

Mp Beast Wars Megatron. I’m used to messing with the 90s Kenner version and this was one hell of an upgrade, while keeping the fun of the old toy. No need for English voice clips, you hear him talking in David Kayes voice just by looking at him.

Kuro Kara Kuri Drift. Planned to get the red one, but found reissue white with the antlered mask and chose that instead. Beautiful but dangerous, as he’s a gateway drug to this exellent but expensive line.

Vientiane Toys 1/72 Destiny Gundam x Barbatos with double wings and light wing effect. That thing is madness when fully kitted out. Like a 42 inch wingspan butterfly that can kill you.

I forgot the gorgeous PE Cryotek was this year. So that’s 4/5 Transformers and 2/5 flashy winged showpieces.

 

I was super-stoked to get the ML Genis-vell too. I really liked him in the comics, and I said if they ever make one I'll jump all over it. Yeah, I jumped all over it.  

 

It was one of the best comics of the late 90's/early 2000's. Characters were characters an not just snide, and the exploration of not living up to a parent's example/ideals was something I could really get into.

 

TF is number 2 as far as my collections go, 3rd being action figures in general. The biggest thing I collect or have been collecting/building over the years are movie props. Last year I picked up two of my grail pieces: a replica of Inigo Montoya ‘s rapier from “The Princess Bride” and Connor Macleod’s dragon katana from Highlander 1. While the former is a complete recreation, the latter was taken from the actual movie prop from the one who owns them. He also has the TV show hilts and I plan on getting a season 1 sword maybe next year.

Also, probably my Zeta Aerialbots for my number 2 purchase and either Dr. Aphra or the BS Chewie/Threepio twopack.

I really don’t have many weapons, and while the rapier would be fine for light contact dueling, the katana does have a 1090 carbon blade and is sharp. I do practice HEMA regularly and some Kendo/Kenjutsu/Iaido from my MA days so I have European wasters and a well used shinai(bamboo sword), but that’s it as far as collecting weapons goes lol. The majority of my collected props are blasters, lightsabers, helmets, and Indiana Jones stuff.

 

That's still awesome! We oughtta make a thread for those of us who collect weapons sometime. I'd love to see more of yours.

 

Talking of weapons...

I have the Blade sword  
I used to have the back scabbard but only wore it once... every time I moved my head backwards I banged myself on the sword hilt  

I also have a rather large 'fantasy' broadsword, a pair of sai, a cheapo display katana, and some replica flintlock pistols.

Transformer? Sorta. The best I think is the Studio Oz Unicron head.

 

There were a lot of stuff I really enjoyed from 2019. My favorites are probably the chalk picks:

SOC Dairugger and MP-44 Optimus Prime

SOC Dairugger met my high expectations for it and is a crown jewel in my collection.
I feel like a Takara fanboy putting MP-44 at the top, but after months of owning it, I just have to crown it as my favorite Masterpiece style figure of all time, beating out TE-01, of which I own 3 copies. The hyper posability of MP-44 won me over.

Another favorite from 2019 is the Hot Toys Darth Maul. I have a thing for Darth Maul figures, and this one is pretty much perfect.


Rounding out the top of my list of 2019 favorites are:

SH Figurarts Kamen Rider Kiva: It's a grail for Figuarts Kamen Rider collectors, and it doesn't disappoint.


Super Mini-Pla Jet Icarus: You have to build it, and it has some parts-forming (which is somewhat accurate to the source material), but I just love this thing so much.
