We are halfway through the year and quite a few titles have been released across all platforms and I was wondering what game do you consider the best game of 2009 from those released so far? Games that qualify are those released on 1st Jan 2009 up until the current date. You may only pick one game, and follow it up with a why if possible I'm going to pick Street Fighter IV on the 360 due to it re-juvinating my favourite genre and giving us a much deserved update on one of the most famous game series, keeping it competitive and addictive to boot. Stunning looks and outstanding gameplay that really does make you want to have just one more go along with being able to play online against friends while hurling Sonic Booms at them is a pleasure I wish we had gotten sooner but pleased its available to us now.
Uncharted 2, now I am just playing the beta but LOVED the first one and I am sure multiplayer can only add to the Awesomeness of it all.
flower is one of the most pleasing and most original games i've ever played. also street fighter has brought the fighting genre back to with a 15 year old kiss of life.
As of now (So I am not counting Uncharted) inFamous, hands down. I have not put this much time into a game without wanting to turn it off in a LONG time, so yeah.
Street Fighter 4 is the only game I bought this year that came out this year so that. There is a lot of good games schedualed for the later part of this year though. edit: oh and Punch-Out! but SF4 was better IMO.
I'll give my vote for Punch Out. Its not often that I have to put effort or skill into a game ! Anyone with a Wii NEEDS to buy this, the sales aren't looking too good ...
Gonna go with RE5. Though not as good as 4, it had me replaying the levels a lot and going through again with friends. So, it was pretty addicting in a sense. There really wasn't much else actually new that I've played though, besides Street Fighter 4, but I enjoyed RE5 a bit more.
Street Fighter IV > everything else. Although, my opinion might change when Wii Fit Plus comes out...
50 Cent: Blood On The Sand. Truly a gaming masterpiece, and a shining example of how a story can be so incredibly deep and moving (eat your heart out, MGS4). Fiddy/Curtis James Jackson II's quest for his tragically stolen diamond and pearl encrusted skull tugs at your heart strings, and it is a true story of friendship when his "G-Unit" pals Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks, or DJ Whoo Kid assist him in recovering his beloved shiny human remains.
so far i'd go for punch out. i was more excited for it than any other game and it lived up to every expectation i had for it.
