New script service? No thanks.

 

I only sporadically subscribe to Netflix, so trying out this DC service should be no issue. Of course, there's still schedule and price to consider.

The fact that they didn't outright announce Netflix as picking up the show was a red flag that told me it wouldn't be there. That's something that would've been announced right away, as Netflix shows and revivals usually do. The fact that Netflix has exclusive deals with Disney and Marvel was also another red flag. DC's interest in streaming and the rumors surrounding it was the final hint that indicated to me it would go there.

That's why I was careful to assume it would go there and that's why I'm not as bummed about these news as a lot of people seem to be.

 

I think what has people so bummed is that it's yet another pay service. I know at first I was bummed that the CW superhero shows were leaving Hulu because I really didn't want another pay service. Once The CW streaming ended up as a free service I wasn't so bummed. Some people cut the cord for the convenience but content providers seem dead set on making streaming as annoying as cable was.

So apparently we now have a release window for Season 3.

Q4 2018. So October, November, or December.

 

I heard about that last week.

Someone on YouTube called it, saying that the show would probably be back in the Fall.

Not uncommon for regular tv series to start new seasons in early September and into December.

When they take a mid-season break, the show often comes back in January or February.

Cartoon Network was notorious for putting Young Justice on a long hiatus. Once it lasted 6 months!

 

Finally! This thing has taken ages to get released, but I hope it succeeds in starting a trend of good cartoons being picked up for continuation after being cancelled. I can think of a few others that would need reviving...
