This has always been fun to discuss with my buddies. We hear something like say, construction work, being in the rhythm of some particular song or whatever. For instance, when I close my microwace it sounds just like the opening drum beat (a whole 2 notes of the bass drum followed by the snare) to Helloween's I Want Out. Pretty funny, anyone else have moments or things they hear regularly when this happens?

I say my PC's fan sounds like the opening guitar drone from Black Sabbath's "Iron Man".

There is no listening too much to music. And the whole world around is is just music, you just need to listen to the rhythm of everything. And you can sample everything and convert it into percussions and instruments, creating a unique sound setting you apart from others.

OK, but one example like yours: When a train here passes by, it sounds like Industrial :D

    Pretty much.

I mean if nothing else, it's just a way to keep our brains running more pleasantly.

Well in that case, you might like this one by Girls Aloud. I mean if nothing else, the video is hilarious, and there's tonnes of boobs. Easily my favorite song of theirs, too. :)

When you're listening to one song, hear a part in i tthat sounds similar to a part in another song, then spend hurs trying to find otu what it reminds you of.

There is no listening to too much music it is too much of our daily lives without us even realizing it (as you have pointed out op)

The phrase "too much music" doesn't exist in my vocabulary.

... but yes I hear rhythm everywhere.
