We saw in rotf that OP and BB got their fair share of screen time.but what about most if not all of the decepticons and ratchet,sideswipe and ironhide.So my question is do you think it'll be more character development this time around?

 

Doubtful. Other than a few lines of "Attack!" or a nice one-liner or two. ROTF taught us what happens when someone isn't Prime, Bee in Camaro mode, the Twins, Wheelie, Jetfire, Megatron, or Starscream.

Thankfully, the Twins are reportedly reduced to Ironhide and Ratchet background status.

Optimus, Bee, Megs and Screamer are the stars of the movie. Sucks, but you can't have 15 stars. You have a few stars and then supporting cast.

Somewhat, but surely more than ROTF.

 

Given how ROTF handled a number of secondary characters, I'm not so sure they'll be as well-handled in the third film.

They talked alot about Jolt, and he just served as set-dressing with only 1 line.

 

Doubtful, like people have said before more Transformers less screen time for said Transformers.

jolt didnt have a line in ROTF, for all i know he doesnt even have a voice actor

 

Starscream didnt get hardly any screen time, except when he was getting beat up!! But yes, the OP and BB and Megatron did get alot of screen time though. >.>

 

Nope! Bay only wants Optimus Prime and BB to have screen time becuase kids love them and they're the heroes. Ratchet and Ironhide are soooo boring. The Twins will be funny and cool. Sideswipe= emo, Arcee= Woman and Jolt=mute hippy.

This is the reasoning of how Bay and his writers think about sharing screen time.

 

That's wishful thinking. They will probably be just *there*. Somebody might give them an order or have a brief conversation. I wish each character could get some good time, but it is pretty tough in these movies, lots of characters.

 

I actually like the amount of screentime ironhide and ratchet got in the 1st movie. It wasn't much,, but it was enough to know they were there. I hope their screentime in the new movie is closer to the first than the second. I think each autobot and decepticon should atlest get 2-3 min of screentime with atleast 1 or 2 lines.

 

yea i totally agree because i didnt even notice ratchet was in the movie until i saw rotf a second time

 

When was ratchet in the movie?? Luckily I'm not an Autobot fan  

 

I expect the Ferrari and Sideswipe to get a lot more screen time than Sideswipe got in ROTF. I doubt we're going to get major character progression for most of the new bots, but I would say, from the filming we've seen, BB, Sideswipe and Ferrari are going to be the three main 'warriors' for the Autobots. They seem to be being filmed/scene together quite a bit, and away from the others as well.

Ratchet seems to be getting a bit more screen time from what we've seen of him so far, which makes sense if there's more science-themed things going on in the script. The scientist/medic will be in the know about these things. Skids and Mudflap so far are the two rarest bots seen around so they've most likely been sent to the background. Thank god for that!
