if they optimus and the decepticons in more-or-less 3A deluxe scale but as plamos i'd sell the 3A guys and replace them with these honestly. the 3A's are awesome but a little unwieldy to pose with all the diecast and how overly tight some of the joints can be.

Literal ass-shot: for when you want to tease your model kit by showing how thicc it is.

    Huh.

I thought that his face was on his chest when I first looked at the photo, because it's from a "live action" movie.

So, does the description mean that it comes in the right colors and that I don't have to paint it. Like a Gundam?

Yeah pretty much. Although it's hard to say because I believe they have done unpainted model kits as well? They haven't clarified with their Optimus Plamo kit if it'll be painted or what so it's hard to say.

If it does come with color it'll be similar to how Gundam kits are where the plastic is produced with the basic colors.

Looks like Seeker intakes on Shockwave's shoulders?

I bet this will share several runners with Optimus.

Nah, they’re pointing backwards relative to his torso.

Yeah I knew all that, but it still doesn't make me want to spend money on toys/model kits of these designs, and Shockwave was actually one of the cooler cybertron designs, IMO.

i kinda wish they took some liberties, these models were half-assed to begin with.. the fact that his excuse for a backpack consists of seeker intake vents really shows how recycled everyone was. the eye is comically huge.

While rest of design is just okay, I actually really like the larger eye. Reminds me of TFP Shockwave.

Even though he's a lazy design, 80% of him is Optimus, he's still pretty damn good looking to me! Holy damn, I can't wait for the rest of the bots!

I agree he's pretty much based on Prime, but are they Starscream's vents though? The vents seem to look different.

I may skip Prime and go straight for Shockwave. I have a few big Optimus toys, but no big Shockwaves. This would’ve a more unique piece in my collection.

‘Course I suppose I could... get both...

perhaps not exactly, but if they’re going for a throwback g1-inspired look, why even have those panels in the first place?

of course, this is just a shits-n-giggles discussion towards the design itself, not criticizing yolo by any means
