Well, with Optimus being $3K, I'm guessing this will also be stupidly expensive.
    *sigh*

Interesting choice, as much as I like this design I look forward to seeing better designs that have more of a budget to make them more refined and distinct.

Don't lose hope yet! This is the Plamo model kit series, unlike that 24" Optimus figure. So its not gonna be that expensive.

In the other thread, their model kit optimus is rumoured to be around $100.

Scale? I’m impatient and really want a shockwave with my ThreeA figures. Lol

I’m pretty sure they will be in about the same scale.

There are definitely some reused parts from BB Optimus Prime in Shockwave's CG model, but never noticed the Autobot symbol until @Nova Maximus pointed it out!

Reused asset or not, I feel like the faction symbol placement on the forearm is too deliberate an oversight on the CG animators’ part.

Call it wishful thinking, but I’d love to see Shockwave developed as a sort of former-Autobot turncoat in this new rebooted series, it’d be a cool twist in the character’s usual backstory.

Yeah I was gonna comment that from the back this looks like mostly Optimus parts, which is a bit lazy, but having an Autobot symbol is just goofy.

Well seeing as much of the Cybertron designs shared a lot of parts with Optimus/Blitzwing, but also with other previous designs since the scene and characters were extremely rushed in only a few months, one could see it as them trying to be really accurate.

Makes sense since these models were pretty quickly thrown together for the opening scene without needing to transform or do anything too crazy. The shared parts likely sped a lot of things up.

Which is why I don't think it makes sense to give them new mold transforming toys until they appear again in the next movie, but that's just me.

considering how rushed they had to do that scene on Cybertron and how well it looked and nobody would have noticed till models were shown I think they did everything but be lazy especially since having the scene in the movie was fan service

Pretty much but we all know planned alt modes or not they’re just gonna be lumps with either wheels or jet thrusters which always leads to people saying

“that’s not a Cybertron alt mode”

well please tell us what a cybertonian alt mode is then

“I don’t know but not that”

It's obvious the backside of this guy was clearly not meant to be seen as he's entirely Optimus back there. Though, I don't blame the movie designers here as he only showed up for a minute. I'd be a waste for them to create something from scratch. Yeah, as others have mentioned, I'll wait for the new movie design for this guy. I still like how this looks but don't want to essentially build Optimus again.

On the other hand, glad to see Yolopark is creating more kits for this line.

Cool but I'm holding out for a SS figure of him. We're already getting so many of the Cybertronian characters and I'm getting them all!

I'd be more excited if Yolopark would actually release things rather than show off these 3d printed prototypes.
