809? Wow, I think that's PG level of part count. This is the kind of complexity I'm looking for. I don't think we've ever gotten something at this level for Transformers before. Super excited for this kit.

Also, glad to see there's already another character in the pipeline.

Sold, SOLD. Goddamn that's awesome. I'm too poor for their amazing giant Optimus, but this? So freaking sold.
Model kit and the badass BB design? Sign me the hell up.

That is a lot of parts. Though I don’t know how many parts a PG has. In fact parts aren’t usually something you see mentioned on Gunpla, weirdly.

Welp this is gonna be expensive. 800+ part count and Diecast is gonna bring this up close to $300 I feel. Excited to see it with paint though and what the next character is (lol who am I kidding we know it's Bumblebee).

Hope preordering this for the US is easy.

Yeah, I had to look it up. Part count isn't consistent among Gunpla grades. Though, the count of this guy does fall within the general range for PG based on a Google Sheet someone posted on Reddit: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/1LUG8SSHg6KIrDDErX6tKTLr9eWSLWDkOq6WbA-wqGzg/htmlview#

Now I'm afraid it will indeed cost $200+. I hope they sell an unpainted version as I rather paint it myself (even though I don't have too much experience here) if it means I can get it for cheaper.

So I got some interesting news. I poked around the HTML a bit on this guy's product page to see if I can get more information. I was actually able to find a price. So far, he's set to $799 HKD which is about $103 USD. Now, what I don't know if that's going to be the final price for the figure or if that's just the deposit required for the pre-order and the final price is higher. I've seen examples of both on Yolopark's site. That'd be a pretty expensive deposit for a model kit so I'm hoping that's the final sale price. For example, for a $290 USD figure, the deposit is only $46 USD.

Yeah, it seems way too high to be a deposit, but it also seems kind of low for the full price.

Could it be a leftover price from a previous item that was copy/pasted when they made the page?

Yeah, I'm thinking it's the price for the unpainted version or it's simply an artifact of them copying and pasting. Though, I haven't seen this price for any other product. *shrug*

I'll absolutely jump on it at $103 USD, of course, it just seems a little too good to be true.

$100 seems way too cheap. This coming from a company that charges $3000 for another Optimus figure using the same IIES system with diecast but taller lol

Still thinking it'll be close to the $300 range.

Wait, their IIES Prime is nothing like the model kit. They're not going to be using the same system. That thing is like 10 times more advanced. It has moving gears and all sorts of things.

I figured their initial announcement meant that this model kit would implement some of that moving gear system. This is what they said in their initial announcement:

So I wouldn't be surprised if we saw some of that moving gear system in the works when you bend joints. Similar to what some Gunpla kits have where moving the knee or elbow, moves the armor parts around it along with it.

I thought that just meant the design and articulation. I didn't think they were also going to implement the moving gear system too as it seems a bit hard (and an overkill) to implement that in a figure half the size. Personally, I hope they don't bother with that and instead focus on having an interesting internal skeleton.

As other people have mentioned, it would seem strange if a model kit that you need to assemble yourself cost as much or more as a high-end pre-assembled figure around the same size with premium paint and articulation. So I feel like they need to keep their price below ThreeZero's ($200 US), or it just doesn't make sense.

So thr earlier description of it being based on their giant premium one wasn't a mistranslation, because that just looks like a shrunken down less intricate version of the action figure.
    Damn.

I'm getting two, one to build as a project and one to build to play about with the articulation.

Need to see something other than a 3D printed version before preordering.
