This exactly and also extra life issues. ;)  My box, I assume it's the package, is still sitting there...with showzstore's lovely plastic packaging on it. 2 weeks...I am hoping to devote a full 2 days into the figure next week though.

I'll definitely start building mine as soon as I get it but I have no idea when it'll be completed. I want to selectively paint it but without knowing how its constructed I'm not sure how/when I'll do so.

That's kinda what I did. Metallic on all the greys and then just picked out a few details here and there and then, when I'd find out where a part went, I could make a decision if I wanted to paint any other details. Then I did one more pass when it was done. I need to do some more but I'm pretty damn happy with where it's at.

Oh interesting. Alright, I went ahead and paid it in full. Hopefully, I'll get someone's unpaid spot but if not, at least I'll make it to the October batch.

There's a space in the head for LEDs, anyone know what fits?

It not coming with LEDS is kinda weird considering how many high end articulated figures do.

I think 24 hours is do able. I built mine in 2 weekends putting in 5-6 hours each day and I took my time.

I haven't peered inside his head again to check but if an LED unit does fit I'm thinking maybe the ones that come with Zeta Toys Blitzwing (for the thrusters) might be small enough to. Then again those have red lights so I guess they wouldn't "fit" Prime.

    It begins…

EDIT: So I've cracked this bad boy open and started the head. First impressions are that I'm impressed. I knew it would be ABS but boy I was not expecting the heft of the box and runners. Even once built this thing's gonna be a brick. (in a good way) I will say though that while a nice number of parts are under-gated they're not labelled as such int he instructions so make sure to inspect each piece before assembly.

Also I have no idea when I'll get this done. My plan was to paint everything but the red and silver using gunmetal and light gunmetal for the dark and light grey parts as well as metallic blue. In person though the blue plastic is quite nice and subtly metallic so I think I may reverse it and paint the red. Unfortunately I'm out of paint and my supplier is out of stock so I don't know when I'll get this done. :(

    Holy shit.

Now you're making me want to go check mine.

Where'd you get yours from? I'd contact them and see if they can't get a replacement runner from YoloPark.

Wow I haven’t seen that in all my years of model/Gunpla kit building. Definitely will look all the runners over once I receive mine first thing.

Fwiw, none of my runners had any problems so hopefully @justpassingthrough's experience is a fluke.

Making progress on this guy. The intricacy of the surface detail is insane and yet the internal structure is quite (thankfully0 simple and rugged. The main torso is made of a big question mark of solid ABS, with layers of fine interlinked details over top of an interlinked spine mechanism. It's 99% fluid but there's a few moments where parts have to squeeze past each other. I also painted the Matrix similarly to @Snaku so it wasn't just plain silver.

I'm trying to keep paint off of anything that's a joint or hidden from view, but I'm hoping the end result looks good. I do think this kit could've looked just fine without paint, as the metallic plastics aren't especially cheap looking as silvers/greys often tend to be, but I knew I'd be tempted to paint it in the future so I figured I'd save myself the trouble of dismantling it. :D

My Prime shipped earlier this week from ShowZ!

I'm still working on my MGEX Unicorn kit at the moment so now I have to deal with dilemma of if I should finish that kit first before starting this one or pause it while I work on Prime. I was painting the Unicorn so it'll take a while.

Maybe in between painting the Unicorn build Prime? I will say the MGEX was nothing compared to this as far as build goes, but it was a bit more harrowing due to the LEDs.

I can usually shit out a MG in an evening but there's no way this isn't taking me at least a week. :lol
