As I mentioned, I was highly satisfied with their PLAMO Ultraman Seven. I'm looking forward for this one now. I hope it's not more than $100.

I hope the price range will be somewhere around $70 or less....
Looks impressive, looking forward to see the final product in the future.

    ORLY?

This wasn't some "co-developed" piece. It was developed by Robosen and then licensed as an official 3P, fully transforming toy.

hasbro helped fund it. That’s why that transforms and was so heavily promoted at fans fest

Good to see the "All licensed 3rd party transformers must transform" crowd has a back up argument now, It'll be fun constantly explain that Hasbro co-developed Robosen Prime and thus it's an exception.

Honestly the "If it's officially licensed, it must transform" and "All Transformers figures should transform" crowd really need to calm down. They've gotten two official transforming figures in the MPM and CHUG Scale (albeit to varying responses), they have already gotten Toyworld's Optimus, Lemontree toys Optimus, the MANY KO SS38 Upscales, Weijiang's Optimus (Rest in Peace, Weijiang, your paint skills still make HasTak look cheap even with the older outings), and concepts of this design still exist and may see life one day (I mostly think of Toylab's Optimus), let the people who are more into the display setting or just want fancy model kits get theirs. Flame Toys' Optimi are not that difficult (I'd say around HG Gundam level), and this one looks to do better than those and appeal to the Bumblebee Movie Crowd.

Guys a friendly reminder to stay on topic. Let's talk about this new model kit or related topics about model kits for those not familiarized with it. Thanks!

Damn, the build and detail are fantastic. Bandai could learn a thing or two about that LED design.

I can appreciate buying high end figures, but it's an entirely different feeling to build one one yourself. Little details that might get overlooked feel all the more satisfying when you're the one who put them there.

At 12 inches I have a sneaking suspicion it will be on the pricey side. I’d like to be wrong, but when you look at the Flame Toys and Trumpeter/Doyusha models they’re quite expensive compared to your average snap-fit kits, and I assume that’s due in part to licensing. The Ultraman is about $100 Cnd, so I'd expect Prime to at least be that, if not more.

Oh wow. Didn't even know they made model kits. Very interesting. Will be curious what features carry over from the big one.

But it isn't. I'm fairly certain this will not be functionality similar to their other Optimus Prime at all.

Aww, am I the only one who thought this was supposed to be Bayverse Optimus Primal at first? The crouching pose, more than anything.

Their model kits on average cost about $418 HKD-$448 HKD, which is about $55-$60 USD with some loose transitioning. The price depends on Unpainted PLAMO vs Painted PLAMO. I imagine he may be about $65 if he's unpainted, $70 if he's painted.

If that's the case, it'll be $70 of paint *I'll* be applying.

I will take the wait and see approach on this one.
