Yolopark and Hasbro are releasing articulated statues of the characters from the Cybertron scene...As I was swiping through I noticed this silhouette and his head shape is pretty much a dead giveaway of who he is...LORD MEGATRON Screenshot_20191208-161117_Instagram.jpg

Before anyone asks where his arm is, he's holding his hand out in front of him, probably gesticulating as he gives some villainous speech.

Well, it's certainly an imposing silhouette. Can't wait to see the fusion cannon.

I wonder if it's an actual design from the movie's concept art or just made up by Yolopark/taken from another source?

Yeah, I have a feeling this is just a custom made my Yolopark and not based on an official design.

That doesn't mean anything as far as where this design actually comes from.

The proportions alone cast doubt on this being Megs from the deleted scenes, given the proportions are very super-robot and less thicky-mickey like Soundwave, Optimus, Shockwave, etc.

Optimus was very super robot and so were the seekers

Also take into account that they used recycle bits each character they made in this move

Remember that Travis Knight said he couldn't use Megatron in the Cybertron scene, so they probably never even bothered with concept art, so it'd probably be designed just for this.

Didn't Travis have a some stuff for Bee's take on Megatron? Methinks they'll go off whatever art and unfinished CG they had for the film that was never used and run with that. It's possible Megatron is a mix of the cut scene, some art, and a bit of their own ideas thrown in to fill in the gaps. Nothing is really wrong with that, we've been doing that for a while with anything.

According to the guy that went to the test screening, Megatron appeared in a deleted credits scene, frozen in Sector 7 (like Movie 1 Megatron, but with more G1 aspects to his design).

A lot of stuff he claimed was later confirmed by the final movie and the deleted scenes. For instance, he described that cut appliance scene months before we had any clue it existed. So apparently they have a full 3D model.

I also recall one of the concept artists confirming that he did art of Megatron, but it was still under embargo.

I wonder if he's still under embargo or if he's allowed to show us the unfinished product at least. Characters in films being cut in prep for future movies has been done before and really it's because their role is always still up in the air and someone like Megatron isn't exactly a big spoiler like say Unicron. Unicron represents a larger threat to the Transformers universe and him being anywhere is certainly warrant for embargo, but to a guy who is always there to stop Optimus Prime at any given moment? He should appear in movie 2 at least. You can say that the Decepticons on Cybertron represent a much larger threat that is only hinted at ala Darth Vader in A New Hope, then come out in full terrifying force in the next one.

Judging by his size in the scale chart, which the one on here should be updated due to the release of this silhouette scale chart, that Sauron comment made by Travis Knoght totally fits this.

The user you're speaking of also said he looked really close how he was designed in the Bumblebee motion comic (and the fact that he still looked somewhat like his '07 counterpart is probably largely the reason he was cut from the film):

Granted I'm not the biggest fan of the spiky shoulders and the shredded bits from the motion comic and TF1, but if what SilverOptimus and Unicronus22 say is true
Then that is just freaking fantastic. We kinda figured this would happen since Hasbro did announce way back that Bee would restart the movie franchise, but the 2021 date seems almost reasonable since you'd probably want to make space to better the cgi from the last one. On top of all that, it aligns well with Travis wanting to bring a Movie G1 Megatron into the Cybertron opening and start over and with Bumblebee's generous records and reviews it looks to finally come true!

Hopefully it is true, but I'm yet to hear anything. Was way too busy with G.I. Joe: Snake Eyes news stuff.

Head looks too different. The one seen in the shadows is more helmet shaped and his legs are long in the teaser image. But hey, the rest seems to fill in the other gaps almost too well.
