Just got my mitts on MP-12 Lambor/Sideswipe, who's always been my favourite TF since G1... He's pretty damn awesome, with wonderful articulation and a spot-on alt mode and robot mode?... but I had a few minor gripes... the white bits were just too damn white with barely any paint on the molded detail, and the missile launcher was ridiculously all white... So with a quick spray of Tamiya Mica Silver and Matt Black, and some quick work with a silver and black Gundam marker [all done in less than half an hour], here's Sideswipe with a slightly more toy/screen accurate missile launcher, and some highlights to his detailing [hard to decide what to outline... there's SO MUCH molded detail it's almost ridiculous...] ... now all I need is Sunstreaker. Sides is wonderful, but GODS, he feels so... weird alone... [edit: here's a pic of MP Sides with CHUG Sides and Optimus... he's about Optimus' height, so... he only scales decent with MP10 Prime...]
Now you've done it. I never really liked the white rocket launcher/cannon/what ever it is. But I was probably inclined to just settle. Now I have to decide if I want to repaint mine as well... So far I haven't repainted any of my MP toys. (although I've always been tempted to extend the black barrels on Grimlock's blaster down to the ends. Looks good!
Thanx guys. I know whatcha mean... Was very hesitant to paint him initially, but the white missile launcher just got on my nerves a bit too much... ... That and I figured I could just paint the missile launcher and not paint Sides... Guess I got a bit carried away, but I like how he doesn't need that much work to turn out ok. XD Yep. paint apps are silver to the shoulder guards, and the trim on his forearms, a bit to the sides of his waist, and some to his calves, including the vents at the back. Some black touchups, and some to the back of the calves, the front of the thighs, and the detailing on his biceps. Honestly, not very much at all. XD heh. I want two lambos... C'mon HasTak... Give us psycho Sunny! XDXDXD
Can you open up the turn signal lens covers, and paint the turn signals inside amber? (they properly molded it, but just left it all clear)
Can't figure out a way to without knocking out pins or prying them off... And I don't really wanna do that....

This toy is so new for a sec I was unsure what you did. I compared to another gallery and agree. Those details go a long way to make this figure A+
... he's more binaltech/alternators size, so he's not gonna fit with classics. not easily at any rate. don't have any pics of him with CHUG Sides or Prime yet... and since I'm stuck at work for the next 3 days or so...
