Well, what else can I say other than: "YEAH! IN YOUR FACE DIAL-UP!!!!!" The speed is incredible, and I no longer need to worry about hogging up the phone lines and getting in trouble with my parents because of it. Anyways, I just wanted to express my happyness. Thank you for listening.
Congratulations. Now you'll be able to stay up and look at more than just 8 pictures of girls a night. (Man that was a funny line form tonights The It Crowd. Made me giggle)
I have ADSL now and I cant help but wish I had cable again. 7mbs dl tEh roxxors or fios but it isnt available in the boonies just yet.
congratulations Jenny! It's about time you got DSL. I was tired of your complaining about dialup in the hub.
!@#$ Am I the only person with 56K?!? My neighborhood still can't get cable or DSL. Oh well, congratulations jet convoy.
I feel sorry for ya man. However if you get a choice go cable. I swiched because my dsl isp was shit (avoid att/covad). During the switch I discovered that my dsl was 1.5m and cable was 5m. I am so much happier now. No problems and much faster speed.
Congrats, jc! Broadband is great. I can't believe it used to take me 90 minutes to download a 15MB file. Or got dropped halfway through the downloading. (Well our PC was very old one, too.)
Its funny how I still: A) Forget that its incredibly fast, so I don't need to do other other stuff like opening a new internet window or do something else as the page loads because now it loads instantly. Like I click on a link and just when I'm about to open another window Bam! the page loads in a second. Great stuff. and B) I no longer have to disconnect, but I keep thinking I should because then no one will be able to call my house. Still have to get used to this.
I got DSL back in September when I and my family moved into our new house. It's so much better than dial up! The ability to surf for hours and not tie up the phone line is really one of the best aspects, other than the speed.
I <3 my cable internet. 4mbps advertised. Depending on how many other people are online I'll actually get near that. Most of the time I've figured out that it's upstream that's running slower.
Most of the people in my area have Direct TV so my Earthlink cable connection is always fast as a bat out of you know where. I could never go back to slow dial-up. Congrats on the move man.
